Jungkook's POV
I got the recordings from Jimin's dash camera from Taehyung.
"You've got to watch this," Taehyung said as he passed the hard disk to me.
"Isn't this invading his privacy?" I asked back, unsure that Jimin would actually allow me to go through his things like this.
"Well if you don't want to, I won't force you. But, don't come at me if you miss out something important later," Taehyung added nonchalantly and tried to put the hard disk back into his Gucci bag.
"I'll take it!" I stopped his hand before he managed to zip his bag and Taehyung smiled victoriously, knowing very well that I couldn't resist any information on Jimin.
He knew that I had a crush on Jimin since high school but never had the courage to confess to the beautiful boy.
Taehyung was my neighbor who's also my childhood friend, and he was in the same class as Jimin. So, when he found out that I liked Jimin, he tried every possible way to get us closer.
But in return, I had to get him closer to Min Yoongi, my senior in music club. I didn't really know how to play musical instruments nor that I actually wanted to learn about them, but Taehyung forced me to register into the club just so I could get closer to that male Snow White.
And now, all four of us had become life-long friends together with another few that we met along the time we were in high school.
"When will you get your Jimin?" Taehyung asked as he sipped his milkshake.
"Look who's talking," I rolled my eyes at the boy who was also still chasing around his love without any hint of success.
"Hey, at least I confessed and got rejected. You haven't even confess yet!" he exclaimed while flailing his hands all over the table and I had to guard our drinks from becoming the victim of his action.
"Don't you know when to give up?" I complained but secretly admiring his confidence. He was still standing strong until today even though he had been rejected multiple times by the older.
"Never, I know that he is mine, so I'll wait for him until he's ready to accept me" Taehyung replied confidently with his boxed smile.
I knew that his confidence was not baseless confidence at all. Because we could feel what our partners are feeling. I mean not physically, but emotionally.
Taehyung was sure that Yoongi was his fated partner because every time Yoongi felt any emotion, Taehyung was somehow affected by his moods.
And I have witnessed it with my own eyes too. There was this one time where Yoongi was treated unfairly by the music club teacher, and he was in a very bad mood. Very, very bad mood. And it was shocking when Taehyung behaved the same as well.
Not to the same level as Yoongi, but still, it managed to make me felt uncomfortable when we were eating lunch together as both of them decided not to speak at all throughout the lunchtime, for the whole week.
"You know that I'm still not sure about Jimin," I stirred the whipped cream from my latte as my mind travelled to the small boy.
Jimin was always smiling and being cheerful when he's in front of us so I was convinced that he was my destined partner because I was always happy too.
But nearing the end of our high school years, I started having these unexplainable sad emotions. The first time I felt it, I immediately called Jimin to check up on him.
"Jimin, are you okay?" I asked worriedly.
"Huh? What are you talking about, Jungkookie? Of course, I'm okay. We just parted ways not even twenty minutes ago," Jimin giggled cutely into the phone.
At that time I was relieved that Jimin was okay, but the unsettling feeling in my heart had never ceased down and as years went by, it feels like my heart was going to explode with all the mixed emotions that my partner was feeling.
And from that moment I started to doubt whether Jimin was really the one for me because every time we met up, Jimin was his usual cheerful self with not even a glint of sadness in his actions.
"After you look into this video, I'm sure you will know the answer," Taehyung smiled knowingly.
I had told Taehyung about this a two years ago when he started to lose his patience towards me when I always declined from confessing to Jimin.
"You don't understand, Tae. It's not that easy," I slumped down on the couch, feeling frustrated.
"What's so hard about saying 'I like you' to Jimin? I've done it multiple times to Yoongi and it's easier than reciting ABC!"
"The problem is that I'm not sure if Jimin is my partner," I mumbled into the pillow.
"What do you mean you're not sure? You better tell me everything; I'll be here all night until I'm satisfied with your answer of why haven't you confess to Jimin after all these years," Taehyung demanded while munching a freshly made popcorn that I didn't know where he got it from.
And since then, Taehyung once again became our cupid angel who tried every single way to make sure that his ship would sail.
Taehyung and I parted ways soon after that because Taehyung still had to chase around his Snow White. As soon as I reached home, I quickly ran towards my laptop to discover the content of the hard drive.
"Sorry Jiminie, but I need to confirm if we are fated together," with a heavy heart and sweaty hands, I clicked the play button.
