-England, 1868-
The smell of death filled the air. It was raining hard and the hill was slick. "The mud must've caused those blokes to crash." A man with a white beard said, taking his hat off and wiping dust off it before putting it firmly back on. "Please just stay on the hill, darling." He said to his wife, giving her their umbrella before sliding down the hill.
At the bottom was a crash from a rich nobleman. Two people who must've been the man's butler and wife were killed when they fell onto the jagged rocks.Along with the People was a slightly open briefcase with a strange stone mask. "Oi, these guys ain't got the best taste."
The old man hung his head and muttered a prayer for the poor souls before going to check on the nobleman, who seemed to be in much better condition. He knelt and checked the man's pulse. The rich man's eyes slowly opened and he weakly asked. "A.. are you here to save me?."
"Aye, sir." The old man nodded. "It seems your poor wife and butler didn't make it sir." Despite being dirty and clearly not well spoken, the old man was genuinely a good man.
"Please tell me, did my son make it?" The noble asked, reaching toward the wreckage. The old man's eyes widened as he recklessly ran to the wreckage. He frantically looked through the wreck and pulled debris out the way.
Suddenly, a baby's cry came from the direction of the rich man's wife. The old man quickly realized that the lady had protected the baby til her dying breath and almost cried. He ran and grabbed the baby, taking him to the nobleman. "Your son made it sir!" The old man rejoiced.
"You, sir... please tell me your name so the Joestars may honor you and repay the debt we have to you." The nobleman requested.
The old man knew that name. He knew for a fact that the nobleman was none other than Lord George Joestar. "My name is Dario Brando and my wife Mary is on the hill." He introduced, taking off his top hat and giving a slight bow.
"I am Lord George Joestar." The nobleman said his name, confirming what Dario had thought. "I am forever in your debt, Mr.Brando." He said with a struggle, standing upAnd so the Brandos accompanied Lord Joestar and his newborn son Jonathan to the nearest town before parting ways for twelve years...
