A Look At Culture (Chapter 4)

Gabriel POV

I went back to Alice's house. She was on the couch watching an anime about the Battle of the Denmark Strait, but with lasers. The Bismarck looking ship was the same as the one on her poster. 

Alice: Oh, I could put on something else if you want.

No, it's fine.

Alice: Ok.

I sat down beside her.

The Hood, and Prince Of Wales we're about to meet the Bismarck for the first battle where the Hood got blown up.

Like our history the Hood began the battle by incorrectly firing at Eugen and Wales correctly at Bismarck.

Alice: You'd have to be stupid to send an old ship to take on a monster like that...

The four spent a few minutes just firing at each other before the all so famous shot happened. The show showed Bismarck firing a red laser at Hood, it hit Hood and the ship blew in half.

I look to my side and to Alice's face, she had a smug look on. 

Alice: I knew it.

What?

Alice: Me and a friend put bets down for who we think is gonna win.

I'm guess you won.

Alice: Heck yeah, big guns and thick armour will always beat speed.

K.

The show continued with Eugen transforming into a human and camping in Greenland, Bismarck however began back to Germany, going up near Norway. It's seems like this show is our war with this world's way of doing things, of course Bismarck is probably going to survive with this being a show and Bismarck being a popular ship, as long as this world loves the Bismarck as much as my world does.

The credits rolled as Bismarck sailed off into the sunset with a song that sounded like the German marching song Erika.

Alice: That was amazing.

I'm gonna get to bed.

Alice: Right. The spare bedroom is the first door to the right of the hallway.

I entered the room and saw a beautiful bedroom. I got in bed and went to sleep after a longer then average day.

I woke up the next day 

 I came out to the living room and saw Alice sleeping on couch. I looked at tv, it was paused on a bunch of people, mostly female. Were surrounding a Winston Churchill type character.

What day is it?

I mean Alice is probably one of the more reliable students so I guess if she stayed up there's nothing to worry about.

I opened the door and walked outside. We were on top of a hill so I quickly looked over the town, I couldn't see a single person in our uniform.

Should I wake her up?
