~ Chapter 3 ~ The Lost Princess ~

" Lia , Lia , wake up . " I heard a voice calling me . I couldn't open my eyes , my eyelids felt extremely heavy , Suddenly , I had a glass of water splashed at my face . I woke up shivering , my entire head was wet with water . I turned my head to the side and saw Kyle wearing rags . " K-Kyle , why are you wearing rags ? " I asked him while shivering heavily . " Rags ? This are what people wear here Lia . "  what ? I looked at him confused . " Take a look outside  . " I walked towards the window and saw people with medieval looking clothes . Is this Deja Vu , I feel like I've been here before . " Where have I seen this place before ? " I whispered to myself . " 4 years ago . " Kyle said to me , I looked at him confused . " What ? Kyle , I have never been to this place before . " I told him . 

" You did , Lia . You just don't remember any of this . " Kyle told me with a sad voice . " I-I don't understand , Kyle what are you talking about ? " he turned his head , his bangs covered his eyes so I didn't know what he was thinking about . " When you were small , you visited this place a lot , everyone called you ' The Young Princess Of The Open Sea ' , you always told your parents about this place , they told it was a young childs imagination but then when you kept it up with your stories about the adventures with us all . Your parents took you to therapy and you forgotten about us completely . I tried as hard as I could to make contact with you but they told me to wait until your 16 birthday . So , I guess today is the day , you find out about the truth you've forgotten . " I stared at him , it can't be real but it makes sense I guess . At the age of 12 , I lost my memory and my parents told me I fell and hit my head , thats why I don't remember anything . They tried to prevent me from remembering my past , but this is just a dream right ? " No , I won't take my chances . This is just a dream , I'll wake up any moment now . " I said that , pain feeling in my head , making me feel dizzy .

Kyle stood up with a sad face leaving me towards the door , I tried to reach out for him but guessing I'm having an asthma attack . I fell to the floor with misty eyes , " K-Kyle ..... " my last words before my eyes close , I saw someone came in before I close my eyes . I heard someone gasp and before I knew it , someones lips were on mine , giving me air to breath on . " Lou , what are you doing ?" I opened my eyes slowly and saw Kyle standing there . Wait , if it wasn't Kyle , then who was it ? I turned to look who was it . A guy with blue eyes was looking at me with caring eyes . " A-are you okay , Lia ? " he asked me . " Y-yeah , who are you ? "  he looked at me with shocked eyes . " Don't you remember me , Lia ? " , " Louis , she doesn't remember anything , 'member . Its been 4 years since the incident . " guess his names Louis . He turned his mouth shape into an O . " Aye ! That's so damn saddening 'ya know ? All the memories we had made together in the open seas ! " I stared at him , now I question myself , is this really a dream ? " Looks like we got a lot of 'splaining to do now , aye , mate ? " Louis told Kyle and he nodded . Louis went downstairs and came back awhile later . " Lia , I need you to change into this . It'll make you fit in more with the villagers at the port . " I had no idea what he was saying but I continued to follow what he said .

I changed into the clothes he gave me , it fit me quite well . I went downstairs and saw the two of them laughing among each other . They both stared at me and gave me a smile , " You look good in that dress , Lia . " Kyle told me . " T-Thanks , I guess . " I told him looking away blushing . " Lia ,I've heard you said that this was a dream . " I nodded to Louis's question . " Well , princess , this sure ain't a dream , and what Kyle had told you was true . " now I'm not sure whether to trust their words or not . I raised my hand towards Louis . " What ? " , " Pinch me , so I can see whether this is a dream or not . It usually works . " he pinched me on my hand . " Ouch ! " , " Now do you believe me ? " Kyle told me with guilt in his eyes . I smiled at him and nodded . " Kyle , is there any way for me to get my memories back ? " I asked him and he turned to me looking shocked . " I-I have no idea , I guess they'll come back by themselves , thats how hypnosis or amnesia works right ? "  I laughed at him . " W-What ? " , " You don't actually believe this things do you , Kyle ? " his face turned tomato red and turned his face to the side . " Is there anything I should know , Kyle ?" , he turned to me and told me , " Ah ! You need to talk like aye pirate , if ya wanna fit in ! And my family name isn't Lincoln , its Saporon . " , " That sounds more pirate-ish , mate . " they chuckled to my try on using pirate language.

" Well , Lia. Do you want to go see the ship you use to ride on with us when we went on our adventures ? " I face brightened up . " YOU SERIOUS ?" I shouted at Kyle . " Ya , but ya have to keep the pirate accent on so people won't get suspicious I brought an outsider here . " I nodded 'cause I already what he meant by outsider , I haven't been here for 4 years so I think everyone has forgotten the girl that once played here . " Louis , whats your family name ? " I asked him curiously . He stared at me wide-eyed . " It's Saporon , Lia . Can't you see the resemblance between me and Kyle ? Kyle's my younger brother . " after hearing that , I kept my mouth shut . I'm still shocked . Sure , I can see some resemblance but I didn't expect for them to be brothers . I can really guess what its like to have this two as my best mates . They brought me to a ship , " It used to be called ' The Bright Pearl ' but now its called ' The Lost Pearl ' . " Louis stared at the ship sadly . " Why is it called ' The Lost Pearl ' now ? It looks so bright and cheerful , something that could make anyone smile . " they stared at me and smiled . " Theres the girl we know . Lia , the ship was first named after you . " , I was shocked . " A-After me ? " , " Y-yup matey , nobody had a name for the ship yet until you set foot on it , everyone on the ship became cheerful and happy so we named it after you , you were like a pearl bright and dazzling , until the day you stop coming less often , the crew became less cheerful and happy , we lost our princess , so we called it ' The Lost Pearl ' . " I felt guilty towards the story .

Did I really had such an effect on people ? Everyone in my school has always told me I'm such a dull person . I don't laugh to Sarah's joke , I focus too much on my studies and I don't go out much with my friends . But here , I feel different , I feel like I can do anything I want , no studying , no formal talking , all I can do here is to be free . I want to change everything here , turn it back to what it was before but no as the girl they saw in the past but as the present . " I'll change things here . " I told Kyle and Louis , they stared at me confused . " I want to bring back the radience of the ship , the crew , everyone I've ever met and forgotten , I want to make new memories with them , better ones , ones that won't be forgotten . " they smiled at me . " Let's get started then shall we , dazzling mermaid of the open sea ? " I laughed at them . We went towards the ship together .
