~ Pirates Of The Last Hope ~

~ Chapter 2 ~ The Truth ~

The past few days had been normal with Kyle , but the questions were still floating through my mind . My birthday was coming nearer , I decided it was time to get the answers to my questions . I walked to school like every other day I do , suddenly I heard foot steps behind me , I turned around and saw a group of hooligans walking closer and closer to me . I started running faster and faster , I turned around and they were as close as before , one of them had suddenly grab my wrist . He pushed me against the wall .I struggled and his face was coming closer and closer . I closed my eyes for the worst when all of a sudden a loud punch made impact with the hooligan's face .

I opened my eyes to see a copper-haired boy in front of me . " Kyle ? " I looked at him . " Hey , Lia . You okay ? " I nodded to his question . The hooligan got up and rejoined his group . I gasped when I saw one of them took out a knife and aimed at Kyle . I was going to take the attack but Kyle rejected the attack calmly . He started beating up the hooligans one by one . Now I question myself , what is he ? We ran away from the alley way as quick as possible , I stared at his back as we ran . I need answers now .... I let go of his hand and he turned around and stared at me with his grey hands .

" Kyle ... have we met before ? " he tensed up and turned around and stared into my green ones , probably creating a hole there . He stayed quite for a few minutes and finally talked , " Yeah but never in reality . " I was shocked by his answer . " What do you mean , Kyle ? Our first time meeting was a few days ago . " he smiled at me and came closer to me , I took on step backward and leaned against the wall . His face was now only a few inches away from me , I was blushing furiously . His face came nearer , I closed my eyes , I can feel him breathing near my face , " I'll tell you everything on your birthday , you don't have to do anything on that day just leave it to me . " he kissed me on the cheek after telling me that . I stared at him and smiled , why do I feel so calm around him . Kyle grabbed my hand and we ran to school together . 

Days passed by without me noticing , it was finally my birthday . I told my parents what had happened so they had Cleon walk with me to school everyday . When we reach there , everyone was wishing me a happy birthday . It was probably one of those days where you can feel happy and be carefree for a day . I went into my class , Kyle was sitting there as usual , he waved at me while smiling . I took my seat and some of the girls continue staring and shooting glares at me but I decided to ignore them today since it was a special occasion. 

" Well , how are you today , birthday girl ? " Kyle asked me while grinning at me . " Fun " I said to him , he put his hand into his bag and took out a wrapped green box . He gave it to me , " Here , your birthday present ." I opened it and saw a necklace inside . It had a pirate related feeling to it . A compass was engraved on it , " Its awesome Kyle ! Thanks for the awesome birthday gift ! "  I hugged him tightly most probably suffocating him . Thats when it hit me , I was supposed to get my answers today . I coughed awkwardly and he turned to me confused . " I think I'm supposed to get my answers today . " he turned to me smiling . " Oh right ! Co'mon , follow me . " he pointed towards the door and walked towards it , I followed him .

I continued following him for who knows how long , I'm pretty sure class has started but today's my birthday , who cares ?!?!?! Kyle had lead me to the backdoor of the school , " Wait ! Won't we be like rebelling or something ? " I looked at Kyle and he gave me a wide eyed look . " Today's your birthday right , just a day won't hurt a bit besides , you wanted the truth right . You'll get it if you come with me . Oh ! Wear the necklace I gave you . " I wore it and a sudden feeling on my chest happened . " Why ? " , " Follow me and I'll show you , why . "

I followed him , we kept on walking , I din't want to ask any questions as it might slow us down since I ask a lot yet talk a lot . Kyle lead me to our neighbourhood park , now that you mention where does he stay ? " Hey , Kyle . Where do you live ? " I asked him , he turned around from wherever he was heading . " Here ." What ? He lived at the park . " Wait ! You live in the park ? " he looked at me with the troubled look . " Uhhhh , it's hard to explain but I think so , yeah . " I looked at him awkwardly . We continued walking , it was getting darker and darker and then suddenly , the necklace Kyle had given me started glowing and moving . " W-what is going on ?!?!?! " I shouted . " The truth . " I heard Kyle said before I fell into darkness.
