NEW YORK [jordan x aaron]

Aaron didn't understand why it was bothering him so much. He had no right to stop his friend from having fun, he was conscious of that. But it didn't mean it wasn't hurting him.

He was both surprised and annoyed when Oliver sat next to him.

"Have you made up your mind yet?" Oliver said not looking at him.

"I don't know what you're talking about." He replied bluntly. Who did this guy think he was?

"You're making a big mistake, buddy." The taller sighed.

"I said I don't know what you're talking about." He retorted angrily.

"Jeez, chill out dude." Oliver laughed softly.

"I am chill." He answered.

"Pff, yeah. Sure. Keep telling yourself that. Look man, I don't know who you are trying to fool here, but I'm telling you, you're gonna end up just fooling yourself. That boy right there is pure gold. And he's head over heels for you." He said looking at Jordan.

Aaron sighed, looking at the boy as well. This was new information to him, was Jordan really interested in him? It made sense if he really thought about it. Besides, this stranger was seeing right through him too. Maybe it was time for him to accept it.

"I've lost him, haven't I?" He asked softly after a couple minutes of silent contemplation.

"You can't lose what you never had, buddy." Oliver told him patting his back. "I hope you're smart enough to do something before it's too late." He said before getting up and leaving a confused Aaron behind.

Oliver was probably right. Aaron had always loved that "control" he had over Jordan, he loved seeing the boy flustered, he loved how he would blush at the smallest praise, and God, did he find him beautiful. He always thought Jordan was just shy, which he also loved very much, but it had never crossed his mind that maybe his friend wanted him like that. He might as well just go for it, he had nothing to lose. Their friendship was already damaged by all of this.

Aaron looked back up at the dancefloor, his eyes falling back on Jordan.
