She collapsed.

One moment, she was floating with the clouds, like a bird, occasionally dipping and relishing the feel of air brushing through the wings, having the time of her life.

And suddenly, the bullet dropped.

She felt nothing, 'cause the next moment, her spirit failed her, and she was spiralling down, hard, with nothing to rein her in. There was not anything she could do.

He wouldn't leave her. Not like this!

Or would he? She didn't know.
