"I'm happy with your decision, but I wanna get married after I graduate from university", I protested.
"Sweetie, you're father and I have discussed things. You're just waiting for your result so, in the meantime you can get married and settled down.", said mom.
"Fine,but are we going to meet the guy or no?", I unenthusiastically replied.
"Of course! Tonight we're going to meet the family over dinner at "Las Vellhay".
Mom was so excited as if she was going to meet a celebrity 🙄.
I wore my golden lined, white maxi dress which was off the shoulders. Not too revealing and "elegant". To pair it I wore; pearl studded heels, earrings of gold and a bracelet with a 🎵 charm. I put little makeup cause I didn't want the guy thinking I was a fake or some shit. I straightened my hair and parted it down the middle. Just fixing my hair took me 45 minutes, since my hair is curly as hell!
My dad,mom and I drove to the restaurant and went to our reserved table. I immediately noticed the guy since he was the only male (besides his father). There was his sister, cousin, aunt, mother and father. We all sat down and my parents and his family talked and talked and talked and..... you know the drill.
Between all of this, I could see from the corner of my eye that he kept staring at me. Then he cleared his throat and told me his name.
"Hey, I'm Alex.", he said.
"Hi, I'm Sophia.", I said.
"I already know that", he said.
"Ummm, but I didn't tell you my name before?" I responded.
"Well, lets just say I'm sort of your secret admirer, I saw you at university and thought you looked pretty", he smiled.
"Oh, so you were stalking me" I teased.
"Well, you got me.", he admitted shyly☺️.
"So,what do you plan to do after you get married?", he asked.
" Well, we still have to get our result.", I said.
"What do you mean by our result?", he asked confused.
" The exams we just had?" , I said kind of irritated.
"Oh, well the thing is I graduated last year,I'm not really in your university. I just came to drop off my sister the other day and saw you",he replied.
"Oh.....ok", I replied kind of shocked.
So, after clearing that misunderstanding, we got to know each other better.
"So, what happens after you get your result?",he asked.
"I'm gonna search for a job" I responded.
"A job?" he laughed.
"What's so funny?" I blurted out.
"It's just that you don't look like the kinda girl to work" he said.
"How would you know that?" I snorted.
"Let's just say I know everything" he winked😉.
Before I could question him any further, it was time to leave. Alex asked me for my number before I left. I gave it to him, cause he seemed like a good guy, but little did I know, he wasn't.
