"Please tell me about your case, miss."
I smiled at the man in the chair to my left. He had greying blond hair and he seemed to be in his late 30s, early 40s. His expression was reassuring, but I'm quite sure I'm not the only one he was trying to reassure.
"Well, I would, but doesn't he also need to be here?" I pointed to the empty black modern chair to my right. John's brow furrowed. "You are right, but he's a bit busy right now."
I breathed a sigh of relief. Then I turned to him. "Can I tell you something? It's about my case."
He nodded.
"Well, kinda. Uhm, would you believe me if I told you that I knew Mr Holmes personally as a child?"
John's eyes went wide. "You did?"
"I did indeed."Late 1990s-
I met William Sherlock Holmes when we were 9 years old.
I joined a Year 5 class (4th Grade.. I think) in a brand new school, and I took a camera. I dunno why.
I was placed next to a quiet and curly haired boy who eyed me speculatively.
"Hey." I said, when the teacher had gone back to his desk. "I'm Charlotte Smith."
He nodded, still eyeing me. "I'm William, buuuut I prefer to be called Sherlock."
I smiled. Then I frowned when I realised that he was still staring.
"Uhh... Why are you staring at me?"
He blushed. "I was, uh, reading you."
I nodded slowly. "Oookay then. Anything interesting?"
He smiled. "Yes, there is..."
"Right, and?"
"You like pirates, don't you?"
I gasped. "W-what?" The teacher had come from behind his desk, and was talking about a spelling test. "How did you...?"
"Camera." He replied, pointing at it.
I looked at the sticker-adorned camera on my lap. Pirate stickers.
"Oh," I giggled. "I forgot about that."
The teacher- He was called Mr Zackay if you were wondering- started handing out our spelling test sheets.
I looked at the words we had to spell on my sheet.
"Mediocre." I muttered, catching Sherlocks attention again.
"Is it?" he asked. I nodded with a mock anger. He grinned at this. "I know what you mean."
We giggled and started the tests.-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_
