Astoria stood there, looking down at her bouquete through the veil over her face. Wearing a beautiful, white mermaid wedding dress. (You know those kind of dresses that have a fluffy skirt from the knees and down and body fit on the rest of the dress)
Everything was perfect, except ............... that she was'nt happy. She was devastated. Most weddings would be the happiest days of a bride's life, but this one.............
She was miserable.
She was getting married to someone she had no interest in. But now that her granny signed the contract, there's no going back.
She wanted to cry, but, she had to show that she was strong. That she can go through a simple wedding, but in truth, she wanted to break out into tears.
The white curtains infront her opened to reveal the aisle. Her "soon to be husband" stood by the priest, smiling. She slowly walked down, never once looked up to look at everyone. A tear escaped from her eye, but she silently wiped it away and kept on going.
She eventually reached the right spot next to her fiance. (Did I spell that right?). She did'nt look at him, fearing that her emotions would get out of hand.
"Honored guests, today we are gathered here today to-" the priest started. But was interupted by someone bursting through the door.
"STOP THE WEDDING!!!" Rose yelled making everyone turn thier attention to her and the rest of the gang (and Shawn) standing by the door.
"R-Rose?" Astoria stuttered "What are you doing here!". "You cant marry him! You dont love him!" Rose reasoned starting to get dragged away by the guards. "I thought we talked about this! I........I have no choice" Astoria said trying her hardest to hold back the tears.
"Yes you do! There's always a choice!" Rose said before finally being thrown out. "Well, now thats fixed, lets resume" Her fiance said taking her hand. She looked away, still refusing to see him.
"As I was saying......" The preist continiued.
(Timeskip to the "I do" part)
"Now, Do you take this woman to be your wife?" The preist said. "I do" He said sweetly. "And do you, take this man, to be your husband" The preist said turning to her.
"I-" Astoria began. But she turned her gaze to her friends, sadly watching the wedding from the window outside, and she also spotted that Shawn with them. Watching it all happen with tears pricking his eyes, and in the comfort of Travis's arms.
"There's always have a choice.....". Rose's words rang in her head.
"I-I dont!" Astoria bravely announced. Everyone in the crowd gasped in shock. But her friends outside celebrated!
"Remember the contract" her fiance whispered to her "you cant say no". "Like some paper and signature can change my life!" Astoria throwing her bouquete on the ground, and the tears finally falling.
"How dare you say no to my son!" His father said standing from his seat. "Astoria?" She heard her granny say from the other end of the room.
"This is'nt marrige! The number one rule to relationships is love! This isnt love! This is not even a relationship!" Astoria yelled lifting the veil out of her face.
"But you signed the contract!" His father snapped. "I did'nt sign it! My granny did" She defended pointing to her granny.
Majester Rapunzel looks at the ground in shame "Astoria, I-I'm so sorry" She apologized. "I dont blame you granny. But I'll be lying if I said I'm not angry."
Astoria said calmly.
"This is nonsense! I demand that this wedding continiues!" The father demanded.
The gang had no time to waste! They bust through the door once more, but this time, they dragged Shawn through the door.
Shawn smiled sheepishly as he got all the crowd's attention. Astoria gave her fiance a cold glare before silently gesturing towards Shawn.
Shawn hesitated for a while but soon began to slowly walk forward and he took Astoria's hand. "I'm not wearing the ring yet" Astoria glared at her fiance, before leaving with Shawn. "Come on Shawn, lets get out of here"
"This is simply such a horrid act! How dare you turn your back on my son! He has every good quality of as a prince should. How could you go with this Beast!?" the father yelled.
"Hey!" He heard coach Beast from the crowd. "Oh he is just as worthy than you and your son combined!" Astoria snapped back.
"But Astoria? The rule?" Shawn softly spoke. "Then lets break the rules" Astoria told him, suddenly pulling him closer to her and kissed him. "Who says I cant be a rebel?" Astoria whispered to him after breaking the kiss.
And the father was obviously offended by her barbaric act. "For going back on a contract and breaking the fairy tale law, you are banished!" He shouted pointing to the couple.
"Actually, she did'nt break the law" Majester Rapunzel joined in and stood up from her seat. "There is this law, that a member of the high fairy tale council is allowed to go back on a contract"
"*gasp!* thats right!" Rose squealed from outside. "But isnt there a condition when this law is used?" Astoria's fiance spoke. "Yes, this law can only be used under the condition of the world's most powerful force"
Majester Rapunzel declaimed.
"And what is this "powerful force" you speak of?" The father said. "Love" Astoria added. "She's not wrong you know. Love can do anything," Headmisstress Cinderella said getting up from her seat.
"Therefore, I would like to go back on the contract, so that my grand-daughter can marry whoever her heart longs for." Majester Rapunzel announced. "And that also means, that she is not banished.
And everyone cheered! Well, not everyone. Her fiance and his Father stormed out in disgust. Her friends were allowed in and they ran to Astoria and gave her a bone-crushing hug.
(I'm looking at you Rose)
"Guys, I cant breathe" Astoria croaked a little out of breath from the hug. "Sorry Astoria" Rose said immediately releasing her.
And without realizing, the preist walked up to the young couple. "So, may I initiate the two of you instead?" The preist asked refering to Astoria and Shawn.
"No thanks" Astoria said. Which left her friends a little confused. "I dont want it to go too fast. But..........."
Astoria turned to Shawn and looked at him with those green eyes and smiled, and Shawn smiled back.
"Shawn, I am so sorry, I- Hmph!" Astoria was about to say, but got pulled in by Shawn and..................kiss.
"Get a room!" Travis said after they broke the kiss. And everyone laughed.
