Chapter 1:
Then
A long time ago a creature was discovered. It wasn't alive, but it wasn't dead. It was the most terrifying thing known to man. Not because it was ugly, but because you couldn't see it. You can only see the creature once it has experienced pain. It's hard to do when you can't see its blood curling hatred. The beastly creature was to be only hurt on the inside. If you where to try to slay the creature then it would heal. It had powers to allow it to heal wounds, allow it to walk through solid objects, burn without pain or death, and breath under water at any depth. It is stronger than any monster. Faster than any animal. And more beautiful than any flower. Well, unless you hurt it. It's not that it's invisible, it's that it's unrecognizable. It looks to be a woman. A woman more beautiful than any model. She could walk the streets and live life as any other person. That was the problem.
A whole family was discovered when the monster went to school to live a normal life. Her name was Cym. She had made life easier for her family. She showed them that they had nothing to fear. Her family was still different. They would act vicious and angry all the time. They felt that everyone was out to get them. The family fed on innocent people on their spare time. Their blood and their soul. If they felt someone was looking at them wrong, had the wrong tone of voice, or even used sarcasm the wrong way, they were dead. Nobody knew it was them, but the family kept getting more suspicious everyday.
"You and your family are fakes. Yea sure you're beautiful and get attention from all of the boys, but your family is a bunch of freaks. You don't even know the first thing about normal you little-"
Cym killed her. Cym was the only one out of her whole family who was innocent and had never fed on a human before. Cym was now just like her family. Cym went back to tell her family about the girl from school. As you guessed this hurt them. Her nails converted into the colour black, growing two inches longer, her eyes grew red, and her pupils became as dark as the earths core leaving no life left, and her mouth began to drool the blood of her last victim. She was left thirsty. Thirsty for blood.
The family packed up ready to leave at dawn the very next morning. But something stood in their way. It was the angry towns people. Pitch forks and fire torches. The family was chased into the woods. The Angry mob had guards standing the perimeter of the forest. The family was trapped, nowhere to go, and no one to eat. They were forced to feed on the animals in the forest. The little chipmunks that cross their path, the deer that waltz past, the squirrels that are trying to stash up for the long winter ahead, and even the bears that are just trying to scratch their backs on the trunk of a tree. They were uncontrollable and where invincible. After a while the family had eaten everything in the woods. All that was left of the animals was torn up ligaments and carcasses. The family grew starving. No food left, but plants. Plants wouldn’t cut all their hunger so they decided to make strike for it.
“CHARGE!”
Cym took her anger and used it against the town’s people. She looked along the line of the lined up guards standing the border of the forest. She then saw Emma, the girl from school who turned her into this monster. She jumped onto her ripping her head off, eating every part of her. The rest of her family joined in on the other people standing watch. There was people screaming, running. There was blood and body part’s flying everywhere. It was a terrifying scene. The family had eaten almost everyone. The rest of the population had left town. The town was deserted. The only thing even close to a human left was the family. They had nothing to eat anymore.
They had no choice, but to eat everything in any food store close by, every tree, and every strand of grass. The town was left with buildings and side walks. The family had literally eaten everything.
“This is all your fault.” The mother said to her daughter.
“Excuse me for defending my family” She replied.
The family began to turn on each other. They lived in all separate houses of the town’s people. The houses had no purpose so they decided to sleep and power up in the separate buildings. The family knew they wouldn’t be able to stand it together if they lived under the same roof. They lasted about two weeks until they started to become weak. They took it out on each other blaming one another and fighting.
One night the family had all planned to sneak up on each other. The other members didn’t know that their troop had the same plan. The father and the mother had a great battle fighting against each other. At the darkest of night he went to her house and attacked. She was getting ready to head to the fathers house to do the same when the man jumped into her back. She flipped him onto his stomach biting through the skin on the back of his neck. He swung her over his shoulder biting her back. Their teeth clinging together trying to get a nip out of one another. The mother and the father taking bites of anywhere they could get to. The both of them ended up bleeding to death.
Cym and her brother stuck together not wanting to be like their parents. Their souls may be lost, but they still had a tiny bit of feeling left in them because they were still just turned into the creature. The parents had been the way they were since they were children. They could still love, but no love could be condoned to a human. They were the reason of their existence. The ones who turned that tiny bit of evil in them to an invincible, raging, vile and revolting creature. They deserved no compassion. It is only pain being the creature they are.
Cym and Kyle’s (the brother) relationship didn’t last very long. Their hunger took over them. They had suddenly felt the violent, raging feeling their parents did.
“We are both hungry. Who ever wins eats their opponent. Got it.”
They had made a plan. A time and a place for their battle. Their battle would be more brutal than any other. They were strong. They were stronger than their parents, their ancestors, and any other mythical creature. They were fully loaded of pain and anger. They were like the new borns of a vampire, but stronger. They were more hungry than any other.
“Deal.”
That night Kyle decided to cheat his way into winning and take her out of surprise. He ran out front of her house and crawled up the brick wall and into the window. He didn’t take a normal rout of fighting. Instead of jumping on her he put her in a human headlock so she wouldn’t know how to take him. Kyle was tought how to use a head lock from the bullying at school. He needed the most human way to defend himself. Cym was smarter than Kyle though. She quickly swung him to the ground from his neck before he could do anything. Cym made her way down the stairs and to the ceiling crawling out the front door so she had more space to fight. She was starving and so was he, so it was an even match up.
He jumped on her taking her to the ground biting her right index finger off and giving him a flight advantage. Cym wrestled him until he was underneath him then ripping his whole left arm off. There was blood gushing everywhere. Cym took a minute to divour his arm while Kyle had a minute to take in the pain. Kyle ran towards her holding her in between his legs he ripped her head off with the one arm he had left and killed her. Kyle demolished the rest of Cym and suddenly felt alone. He had nobody else to eat. There was nothing in site for miles. He could run, but he was all-alone with nobody standing back up against any angry mobs. Kyle killed himself. He realized there was no point in living without Cym or any of his family. He quickly ripped his head off so he wouldn’t feel the pain. The family was dead.
But if you think that was the last of that creature you are wrong.
