-Suga's pov-

I stretch my arms as I let out a yawn
while walking towards the school gym.

I sighed as I hug myself, it was still cold and there weren't any students here yet, normally I'd be still sleeping at this hour.

I feel like this was a mistake..., yep, it is. I knew I should've just stayed in my bed instead..ugh

"hmm?.., are my eyes deceiving me or is the Sugawara Koushi actually at school at 5:30 am??" said a familiar voice.

I raised my eyebrows and looked behind  me and see our club's captain, aka Daichi.

This... is Sawamura Daichi, one of my best friends since junior year up until now, and.. the person who I secretly has feelings for since junior year...up until now.

"now I'm sure everyone's gonna tease me  for being early" I pout

he let out a chuckle while approaching me "who are you and what have you done to our vice captain?" he teases while shaking
both my shoulder

"haha, so funny, keep doing that and I will kick you on the side." I told him with a smile

he immediately removed his hands from me while smiling nervously

"by the way are we actually gonna have a new practice match with seijoh?" I asked  while opening the gym with the key

his smile fell all of a sudden "ah yeah, but this time you'll play with us too, they said it was requested by their captain" he said his tone changing at the end

I raised an eyebrow in confusion, "Oikawa? don't tell me he's still bitter about losing.." I mumbled

"nah, he said he felt bad that you weren't able to participate last time because of him and that he wants to apologise to you so he  requested for another practice match" he
explained with a scowl on his face

"I see, but why do you look
angry though? is it because you don't like how he kept on teasing our Kageyama?"

He stayed quiet for a while

"yep, it's probably because of that." He said with an obviously fake smile.

"by the way, you make it sound like he is your child" he added with a laugh

"everyone on our team is my child and it is my duty to worry over them!" I stated with a proud tone, and with that both of us burst into laughter.

_

- during practice -

"oh shit, Hinata you dumbass!" Kageyama yelled after doing a serve towards a certain ginger who was currently not focusing on the ball.

"ouch, what the hell Kageyama!"
Hinata yelled back while holding his now red forehead

"oh god, are you alright?" Sugawara asked as he rushed towards the 1st year

"mom.. it hurts" Hinata whined while still laying on the floor

"..."

"..."

"pfft- HAHAHAHAHAHA" both Tanaka and Noya laughs and fell on the floor wheezing

"I- no, that- I was just-..." if earlier Hinata's forehead were red, now his whole face is. "th-this is your fault Bakageyama!" He said while glaring at the blue berry

"hah?! it's not my fault that you weren't focusing on the game!"

Sugawara awkwardly coughs on his hand "th-thats enough, we should take a break first.. also do you want to go to the clinic  Hinata?" he asked while gently touching his forehead.
