YA & General Fiction Winner: Kitsune's Protector by MieraScarlet
(If you have any questions for the authors please leave a comment in the chapter and tag them)
1)
Oreo: Would you rather have a home at the beach, the mountains or the city?
Miera: The mountains
2)
Oreo: Favorite Singer?
Miera: Plumb
3)
Oreo: If you could visit one place on Earth, right now, where would you go to?
Miera: Instead of one place, I would prefer to travel all over the world and see everything with my own eyes.
4)
Oreo: Favorite Game as a child?
Miera: Neverwinter Nights
5)
Oreo: Why did you join Wattpad?
Miera: I want to share my story with the world while enjoying other people's stories as well.
1)Oreo: What's the inspiration behind your book?
Miera: I love mythology and would like to incorporate that element into my book. Thus, Kitsune's Protector was born ❤❤
2)
Oreo: How did you come up with that title?
Miera: It just popped into my mind and I love it, so I went with it.
3)
Oreo: How long did it take for you to write the first chapter?
Miera: Since I've already got the idea for the beginning of the story, writing the 1st chapter only took me about 3-4 days. The rest of the chapters varied depending on how inspirations came to me and the status of my mood at the time (usually around 4 days to a couple of weeks).
4)
Oreo: What do you think happened to the characters after the book ended?
Miera: To me, their lives will continue to move on like us in the real world.
5)
Oreo: Why did you start writing?
Miera: I've always loved reading novels and through that hobby, it heightens my imagination. So I want to write down about the world I built in my head and share it with other people. I want to see whether I have the talent to go further in this field other than just making it a simple hobby.
1)Oreo: How did you find out about the Awards?
Miera: One of my Wattpad friends tagged me.
2)
Oreo: How did you feel when you first saw that you won?
Miera: I was surprised but very ecstatic. I thought that I wasn't going to win because I've read several of the other competitors' books and they are really good. So I didn't think that I stood a chance against them, but I've learned from this experience that maybe I shouldn't look down on myself too much.
3)
Oreo: What comes first: the plot or the characters?
Miera: Usually plot and then characters. I would think about what kind of story I want to write first. After that, I would start thinking about what kind of characters would fit the story best.
4)
Oreo: Did you learn something while writing the book?
Miera: Absolutely! My writing starts to improve as I continue to write the story until the end. My readers also lent a helping hand by kindly pointing out my grammar mistakes. They really taught me a lot and I could never thank them enough ☺
5)
Oreo: What is the most difficult thing about writing in your opinion?
Miera: Dealing with writer's block, of course.
Thank you, Miera, for accepting to do this interview and congrats.
Love,
Oreo
