Our Daughter's New Friend

"Hey dad! I made a new best friend today!"

"That's great honey."

"Can he come over tomorrow?! I told him that he could play with my toys!"

"Sure honey as long as your mom's ok with it." She screamed in joy and went about to find her mom.

The next morning my wife and I were getting ready to go to lunch with our friends, when Sasha our babysitter arrived.

"Hello Mr. Grayson"

"Hey Sasha Bonnie's going to have a friend over at one' o clock"

"oh no worries. I'll make sure they don't get into trouble."

"Thanks Sasha. How's school going?"

"It's going good Mr. Grayson"

"Alright well I think Teresa is waiting downstairs I better get going. We should be back in two or three hours at the most."

"Sounds good. Bye Mr. Grayson"

We had a great time with our friends. Drinking wine at noon, eating delicious pasta and enjoying each other's company. Before we knew it, it was already three in the afternoon. We hurried home knowing that I had told Sasha we would be back by two.

When we got back home. The door was locked. We rang the door bell a few times. No one answered. We opened the door with our set of keys. The house was dead silent. Maybe Sasha had put them to bed. We went up stairs to our daughter's room. It looked like nothing was out of place since we left. Bonnie and Sasha were nowhere to be found.

My wife immediately called Sasha wanting to know where they were. But something strange happened. We heard a phone ring in our bedroom. A ringtone we didn't recognize. I told Teresa to stay downstairs Just in case it was an intruder.

I slowly went upstairs, tip-toeing. I opened our room door with a burst. Ready to fight at a moment's notice.

"Who's there"

It was Bonnie just standing there, looking at the monstrosity in front of her. My mind froze. The carpet underneath her was soaked in blood. Sasha was on the ground her feet and hands no longer attached to her body. Her face being mauled by a matte black creature with four legs, with long blood stained nails. It had no face. Just a mouth. A big mouth that encompassed Sasha's face.

"He was really hungry daddy. He wouldn't listen when I told him Sasha was my friend."

I was speechless. In shock.

The creature now having devoured Sasha's face completely shifted its face towards me. It's mouth dripping with Sasha's blood.

That's when Bonnie started to cry. It gently moved towards Sasha, slowly placing it's face next to her cheek's. Almost as if it was trying to console her.

"Bad Henry" she said to it as she pushed it away from her.

The creature made a sound that resembled a small puppies whimpering.

"Go away!" Bonnie screamed.

It bolted past me with it's four legs so fast I just felt the air move around me, Never to be seen again.
