Lightning girl climbed through her bedroom window and took off her navy mask slowly but surely she felt herself slipping into her alter ego. Tamera Silvers at your service computer geek and master hermit. Tamera ran her hand through her tangled hair sighed, she tried to keep her super life separate from her normal life but a few aspects managed to slither it's way past her barriers. Stress. She didn't need to enter her apartment but she did anyway because she couldn't be bothered to walk up several flights of stairs. She flung open her fridge desperate for something to eat, and wasn't too surprised to find it empty apart from a cucumber and yogurt. Tamera shuddered as she realised she would have to leave the house again but not as her overly confident superhero persona, as her socially awkward one. After pulling on a scruffy pair of uggs she left closed and locked the door behind her, only to be flattened against it again by a pissed off raven haired woman who towered above her. When Tamera let out a squeak of protest, which she wholeheartedly regretted afterwards, the woman stopped in her tracks then swivelled around. Her scowl was heated enough to fry an egg and it was now directed at Tamera, whom was frozen to the spot in fear.
"Yes?" She growled. All Tamera could do was shake her head wordlessly her head pounding against her ribcage. The mystery girl seemed to drool before she blinked in confusion and hurried off muttering under her breath. It was a shame that woman was an uber bitch because she was smoking hot. Tamera couldn't help but feel like they'd met before even though her face was unfamiliar. Instead she scolded herself and left the building.
Change of character
Serenity's bad mood grew until it was like a storm cloud destroying everything in its path. First she ripped her front door of its hinges, then she accidentally broke her potted plant when she kicked off her sandals and finally she incinerated her duvet. She screamed in frustration and was about to burst into flames when an almost silent knock at her door prevented her from loosing her cool (literally). She could already smell the mixture of the mustiness from old books and a hint of orange scented body mist. It was her ridiculously short neighbour, slowly she took a deep breath and forced an icy smile, which looked more like a grimace.Tamera looked at the door which was partially hanging off it's hinges in half confusion, half amusement. She heard the padded footsteps from inside the apartment and reminded herself to breathe. To her surprise the black haired bitch stood in front of her and Tamera almost froze up, again. She could feel a dangerous energy emanating from the woman that send a chill down her spine and made her want to get the heck out of there.
"Um, hi it's me again," Tamera stuttered, "I wanted to see if you were ok, I heard some loud noises and I um, I-" sweat trickled down her forehead as she felt a huge lump in her throat.
"It's all good here, thanks anyway." Suddenly Serenity's tone changed. "Aren't you a cute sweetheart?" She went round the shorter girl like a hawk circling its prey. "Sorta remind me of Lightning girl, cos masks covering your eyes obviously change your face am I right?" Sen cackled. At the sound of the super her neighbour tensed which Sen took note of. "L-lightning girl?" Tamera laughed awkwardly. Eventually the two stood there in silence both observing the other. "I should get going I need to-" Tamera began and started backing away before speed walking back to her apartment head down, back hunched. Sen chuckled to herself, the poor girl made it so obvious and confirmed her suspicions. It sure was fun to play with her, ashamedly Serenity enjoyed watching her squirm.
Enormous time skip
Serenity stood in demon form on the rooftop, and directly opposite her stood Tamera in her superhero costume. "How could you hide this from me Sen?" Tamera whispered. "How could you hold my hand and act like you cared about me finding the Heart Thief?" In a mocking voice she added "The Heart Thief suits you because you snatched mine and stomped all over it?" Tears streaked down her face and her voice cracked "Why did I- what did I do to deserve this?"
"Baby, let me-"
"Don't baby me! Don't you fucking dare!" Tears were flooding in torrents now and Tamera couldn't see, storm clouds covered the once blue sky and thunder rumbled ominously.Sen felt a pain in her chest that she'd never felt before, she put her hand to her chest and tried to speak. "Tammie-" she fell to her knees and willed herself not to cry, she had to stay strong she had to be ok so she could sort everything out. If she cried Tamera would think of her as weak and less of a person don't cr-
Serenity broke down
Her sobs sounded animalistic and her tears were like acid, they burned as they poured out of her eyes. Sen felt her shoulders heave up and down with the strength of her sorrow she couldn't let out a word. Flames encased her body as the pang in her heart spread. Then there was darkness.
Serenity woke up in a cell, her hands and feet were tied and her mouth gagged. For some reason she couldn't even change into her demon form, what is happening to me? Then Sen became aware of the crucifix around her neck and the salt. The bastards had even but a priest in the cell with her, all these objects weakened her but weren't enough to prevent her from causing a shit storm. Hell, finally a proper challenge, she thought.
Sen beat her feathered wings and escaped from the rubble that was left of the prison. She would never fall in love again. Cheesy am I right?
Time skip
Serenity strutted down the pavement her red heels clacking against the concrete. Her enhanced hearing could pick up multiple sounds from behind her and she smirked demonically. The rustle of clothing, clumsy footfalls and quietened breath was an indicator that her followers were male and the strong pungent scent of alcohol ensured her that they both were drunk.Sen made sure to turn sharply into an alleyway and chuckled to herself as the drunkards followed behind. She slammed the men into the wall and made sure they were both knocked out before she turned to the shadows lurking behind her.
"Momma are they for us?" The children asked.
