Ch. 9: Aftermath

Third Person POV.

Adeline, Christopher, and Dominick laid in the bed, the alphas were wrapped around the smaller female that slept in the middle. All three were dealing with the aftermath of the marking and mating of the female. The marks showed as Adeline moved onto her back, on the left was a white rose with vines wrapped around it that went behind her neck and then flowed down the middle of her chest and connected with another vine that flowed back up her neck and wrapped around a black rose with thorns on it then the vine went behind her neck and connected with the vines. Christopher's mark was on his right side and it matched with Adeline's right, while Dominick's was on his left and matched with her left.

Christopher was the first to wake with a grown his mocha brown eyes started opening. He looked around till his eyes landed on his mate. Her pale skin sparkled in the morning sun, he smiled at the picture of his mate in his bed. Soon Dominick awoke to the same sight of their mate, both brothers were the happiest they have ever been since Adeline came into their lives.

"I can hear you thinking...your both dirty mined," Adeline said as she opens her forest-green eyes. "I'm hungry."

"Let's get dressed then we can head down to get some food," Christopher said as him and his brother got out of the bed and started towards the bathroom so that they could take a shower with their mate, though she was staring into the floor-length mirror that was to the left of the bathroom door. Her eyes shined with hurt and shock at the two marks on her neck.

"Addie you okay?" Dominick asked with concern in his voice. She nodded, a second later she had a mile-wide smile on her face as she throws herself on the twin alphas and gave them a big kiss on the lips. They went into the bathroom and took a shower together.

{2 hours later}

Adeline was in the rocking chair on the apartment balcony, reading her newest book. Both Dominick and Christopher were in the yard training the youngest warriors. Adeline couldn't have been happier at this moment.

"So you thinking about little Chris's or Nicks running around?" Adeline heard from behind her, she turned coming face to face with Charlotte.

"I've got a little one and I'll like to hold off on a Nick or Chris running around for a while," Adeline replied as she put her book down.

"So you told them?" Charlotte asked as she took the other seat, "So that's why you've been MIA the last week.

"Yeah," Adeline answered Luna's question. Adeline looked disappointed as she looked on at her mates.

"What's with the long face?" Charlotte asked after a few minutes of silence.

"I'm scared...." Adeline whispered in a soft voice as she looked at her friend; eyes glossed over.

"Scared?" the twins' sister asked, "What are you scared of?"

"That the boys will leave me, I'm going to be a used and rejected mate again."

"Adeline they love you move then you will ever know," Charlotte told her as she moved in front of the future Luna. "Adeline they would rather kill each other than hurt you."

"How do you know that?"

"I know because I'm the big sis." Before Adeline could talk again her eyes rolled into her skull and she took one last big breath before she stopped breathing altogether and started shaking, she was having a seizure. "CHRIS, NICK!"

Adeline awoke to the sound a bird chirping and the wind howling. Her forest green eyes open and she took a deep breath, smelling the natural smell of the earth and forest. She rose and took in her sheerer, she was in a room that she could only dream of. It was all light colors of blue and white, she was in the middle of a king-size bed that had light blue sheets with white pillowcases, the was a double door that let in sunlight and the wind. A woman stood on the balcony of the room, she looked so beautiful and Adeline hasn't even seen her face yet.

She wore a light yellow jacket that flowed in the clam breeze and went down a floor, under that was a moonish colored dress that was as long as the coat itself. She had long black hair and skin kissed skin. She was short about average height maybe a little shorter. Adeline moved out of the bed and onto the balcony where the women stood.

"Hello Margarita," the woman said as she turned towards Adeline. Adeline could see her face now she had what everyone really wants in life and her eyes shined, the color making it look more beautiful. Her eyes were the darkest brown you could think of.

"How do you know that name?" Adeline asked more to herself then the women. "My mom called me that."

"I know, your mom is a good friend of mine nowadays."

"Who the heck are you?!" Adeline questioned loudly to the stranger.

"I am the moon goddess child."
