!SLIGHT TRIGGER WARNING-SEXUAL ABUSE!

It was dark before Talya reached The Hanged Man, and she was beginning to have second thoughts about going in, after all she had no way of knowing that the letter was actually from Michael. She knew the men who stopped Lucy were peaky boys but that meant nothing. John knew about her and Michael and god knows who he'd told. She took a deep breath, she knew that it didn't matter who sent the letter, if there was any trouble she had two guns and four throwing knives and even if she didn't she would be difficult to take down. She could handle herself. She did wish she'd have brought someone with her though. Lucy would have been a good choice.
She threw her cigarette and made her way towards the ominous looking pub, the title and the bars logo did nothing to foster a sense of calm, the sign with a picture of a hanged man creaked as it swung above the door. Talya took one more look around taking notice of quite a few groups of shifty looking men. The door swung open with a loud creak and her hopes of slipping in undetected were gone immediately. Her heart dropped, but she didn't let it show. She strode over to the bar with a confident look on her face.

"I'll have a whiskey, double." She said simply.

"We don't serve unaccompanied women here." The barman spoke snidely. Just as Talya was about to jump the bar and take his bar out from under him a voice came from behind her.

"Luckily for you she's with me." Talya never thought she'd think this, but she was relieved to see Michael, she knew if she killed the barman the patrons would have something to say about it. "I'll have a whiskey too, and a private room." Michael tossed a lot of money angrily on the counter, some of it rolling off and dropping on the floor. He made no move to pick it up and continued to glare at the man until he picked up the money and lead them to the room, placing a bottle of whiskey on the table and left quickly.

"You didn't need to step in, I don't need a man to do anything for me." She stated, grabbing the whiskey and taking a swig.

"I know." Michael simply said before taking the bottle back and taking a drink. "But we can't draw attention to this pub. Its the only place we wont be seen." He paused, looking her up and down. "So it's the only place I can do this." He strode towards her and grabbed her thighs, wrapping them around his waist before kissing her, hard.

Talya pulled her dress down and tried to smooth her hair down, but failed miserably. She felt quite awkward about having slept with him in a pub.

"This means nothing okay?" She spoke before placing a cigarette in her mouth.

"Right..." He spoke like he didn't believe her, and maybe she didn't believe herself, but this couldn't mean anything.

"I'm serious." She said, taking a drag of her cigarette.

"You know, a woman who runs one of the most powerful families in Birmingham must get stressed. I think she needs a way to relieve that stress." He spoke lowly, and Talya would be lying if she said it wasn't hot. "I'll meet you here every Friday." He said with a wink, before taking the cigarette from her mouth and taking a drag. Talya rolled her eyes and took a swig of the whiskey before putting her guns back on her thighs and her knives back in her boots.

"I might turn up. I might not." She said simply, picking up her coat before leaving with Michael close behind.

"Oh, you'll be here." As they left the pub they both noticed the noise, a noise that made both of their blood boil. It was the sound of a woman screaming. Talya automatically started moving towards the noise while Michael, somewhat hesitantly followed. They ended up in an alley where a group of men had a woman pinned down and were trying to undress her.

"We'll get rid of the crazy, lass." One of the men jeered and that was it, the red mist washed over her and she pulled out her knives, before the guy who was holding the woman down even knew it she had thrown a knife at the largest, that landed right in the back of his head, she took off her boots and ran for the man placing his body on the floor so his death wouldn't alarm the others. She slit the next man's throat and let him fall on his own because before his body even hit the floor she had shot the other man and had the gun to the guy that had been pinning the woman down.
"Michael?" She said and nodded towards the woman. He walked over and handed the woman his coat and the bottle of whiskey. "Now love, I kill him or I carve the word rapist into his forehead, your choice." The woman just sobbed in response, Talya sighed and shot him in the head. "I really wanted to carve rapist into his forehead." She wiped as much of the blood from her face as she could, which wasn't a lot, then put her boots back on and collected her knives.  "Do you have anywhere to go?" The woman shook her head, still crying. Talya nodded, and walked up to Michael, kissing him on the cheek. "I'll take her home with me." She turned and began walking away when Michael shouted.

"See you next Friday."
