Chapter 5

Elena pulled back she was shocked to say the least.
This was the last thing she expected.
"Come on." Elena now moved out of the way.
Elijah shook his head.

Elena took Elijah's hand.
They went to a cafe that was opened late.
"First of all. - I want to apologize to you." Elijah now looked at Elena.
Who shook her head and waved her hand.
"You don't need to." Elena now smiled at Elijah.
" yes I do. - the way I behaved towards you was horrible. - you see that first night we meet my sister. - told me I would find someone again. - and I didn't believe her." Elijah now explained a bit.
"I was married.- to Haley Marshall. - she slept with my brother. - I couldn't forgive her so I divorced her. - I can't forgive my brother either." Elijah went on to explain.
Elena reach her hand over to Elijah's.
"I'm so sorry Elijah." Elena spoke.
"Apparently he had a girlfriend in Mystic Falls. - and he slept with my wife." Elijah said.
"Ya Haley came to Mystic Falls. - apparently she got a lead there to her birth parents." Elena now explained.
Elijah gave a nod.
"Klaus." Elijah paused.
Elena shut her eyes.
"Ah so you know him" Elijah said.
Elena gave a nod.
"He was with my now ex best friend. - she was utterly heartbroken." Elena said.
" Klaus apparently don't remember sleeping with her. - but yet they did. - and they now have a child together." Elijah said.
Elena got up and pulled Elijah to his feet.

In Mystic Falls.
The loved up couples have been spending more and more time together.
So much so that Jeremy felt left out yes he had Matt.
But that wasn't the same.
It would seem that Bonnie had forgotten all about her promise to Elena.
So he decided to leave.
To go traveling.
Not that anyone would miss him.
So left during the night after he quit working at the grill.
He messaged Elena and told her.
Bamon was so much in love with each other that they wouldn't even noticed.
As for steroline he didn't care.

In New Orleans.
Elena put her phone away.
"Everything okay?" Elijah asks.
Elena gave a nod.
"My brother Jeremy he is going traveling. - he feels like a spear wheel. - like no one cares for him there. - as long as he is happy then I'm happy." Elena now waved her hand as if it was nothing.
"Why doesn't he come here?" Elijah asks.
"I don't know. - would he want to come here? - and if he does. - I only have a one bedroom apartment." Elena shrugged.
Elijah gave a nod.
After a little while they left the cafe.
And Elijah walked Elena home.
At Elena's door.

" I better be going." Elijah now spoke.
