"I'm done running! This time, I intend to fight!" She exclaimed as dawn's first rays of sunlight shown on her freckled face.
Although her hands shook and her heart was pounding, she didn't hesitate.
The shell of a scared little girl was cracked, and what remained was somebody who wouldn't think twice about jumping in front of the enemy to protect those she cared for.
'Fear drives us all', she recalled the words so vividly in her mind in this moment. 'You can let the hardest parts of life build you up or tear you down.'
A faint smile drew on her face. "So what'll it be? Are you going to hide under your covers waiting for the sun to shine, or are you gonna' help me kill this fucking clown?"
'The choice is yours.'
