Levi always sat alone. I would know that. He only had Sibbs, they had been friends since forever. At least thats what they thought. When Sibbs was gone Levi sat alone, walked alone, only had his music. Levi was a beautiful soul, but he was very troubled and broken. His short brown/blonde hair was always a mess and his eyes were a darkened blue. Depressed. His body was built and structured, muscled, perfect. He had a smile that could light the whole world, but he kept it hidden. His hands were rough but careful, he had great power. I knew what he was capable of.

But there was a secret, something I would have to tell him, but I couldn't find it within myself to tell him. He'd get mad. He'd be confused. Lost. He wouldn't believe me either.

'I'll just keep my mouth shut..' I thought to myself, 'I have to be-friend him first..'

He looked up from the table he was sitting at in the lobby of the school and my heart lurched in my chest, he looked in my direction... But not at me, he didn't see me. There were other people around so, lucky for me. As far as he was concerned I didn't exist. At least anymore.

The bell rang and as his classmates left to go to class, he stayed there at the table, beating the table to the rhythm of his music, the drum solo he'd worked so hard to perfect. It was amazing, beat beat b-b-beat beat b-beat. He could do anything he set his mind to. But he kept to himself, afraid of showing the world who he was.

Why was he so shy?.. I'll get to that later.

"Hey Levi!" Someone shouted, "Hey!"

Levi didn't look up, he looked around, but not at them. His music was loud, but not too loud. He could hear them, but he didn't want to acknowlege their existance, "Levi!" the person shouted again, "What the hell man?!"

Levi shook his head, "Ratch.." He muttered under his breath.

I looked at the Ratch, Levi had muttered about.

Ratch was the typical jock, but he was the big, buff, player, scary, dont-mess-with-me-or-i'll-make-you-regret-it guy. He always got the girls, had the friends, had everything he wanted. He wore a backwards snap-back hat with a football jersey, it was white and had 'HAWKS' on it. He had shaggy black hair that swiped across his forehead, some on the sides getting into his bright blue eyes. He had beautiful eyes I'll give him that. But he had an awful soul. He was stuck up, full of himself. Just one look made me hate him.

"Levi!" Ratch kept calling, "Come on man I wanna talk to you!"

Levi's eyes gleamed then dimmed, he knew better than to trust Ratch. He had fallen for that trick many times before and always got back up with bruises and new scars. Levi was Ratches punching bag, Levi use to think thats what real friends did. Until he met Sibbs.

"Go away Ratch.." Levi said quietly.
Taking his earbuds out of his ears and setting his iPod asside.

Ratch came up behind Levi and pressed his chest to Levis back, getting close to his ear, "What was that Mouse?" That was the name he gave Levi.

"I said 'go away Ratch'..."

"What are you gonna do if i don't?"

Levi shrugged, "Well, I could deck you but it would ruin your image here as a jock so.. I'll just walk away, be the bigger man I guess."

Ratch looked angry, "Ruin my what?"
he wasn't exactly the brightest star in the galaxy...

"Nothin'.." Levi said.

"Naw, you said somethin' about me, somethin' that I didn't like!" Ratch grabbed Levi by the back of his neck and pulled him out of the seat he was in and onto the ground with a loud thud.
