PAPERS WERE DISCARDED AND LEFT TO DRIFT TO THE FLOOR AS THE SOUND OF OBJECTS RATTLED ON THE CONCRETE FLOOR. This wasn't the first time the lab had been in shambles, and it was only the third time this week, today being Tuesday. The young scientist scurried about, mumbling incoherent sentances and quickly scribbling equations on the whiteboard besides her frantic desk.

"Fucking tiddy sauce, that won't work." She cursed, hastily rubbing off the equation with the dirtied sleeve of her lab coat. "X is in the wrong spot again, but if I place it next to the ten then the whole thing is wrong..." sighing, she hit the butt of the pen against her temple, as if it would kick start some sort of genius correction.

Trial and error seemed to be the whitettes best option as she toyed around with her calculations, placing the algebraic symbols where she thought would be best and seeing how they panned out. A wide grin erupted on the females features as she gasped, bright violet eyes glimmering with the new found resolution.

"Holy shit, I'm retarded." She mumbled, scribbling on the white board again before carelessly tossing the marker aside and dashing over to her computer. The loud sound of keys being typed frantically filled the otherwise quiet room. After striking a final key, the female gave a sigh, adjusting her circular glasses to read the text popping up on the computer. The green text flickered, making the female lean closer to get a better look.

"High amounts of iron, aluminium, chloride and nitroglycerin..? As well as traces of lithium and uranium. Other sources are unknown." She recited quietly, narrowing her eyes at the bright green text. It was vague, but it was all she had as a lead. Sighing, she walked over to her evidence, which was a large capsule full of a bright green swirling liquid, which was cold to the touch. Tubes were connected from the top, a steady stream of the lime liquid occupying it, landing steadily in a beaker.

Toying around with the chemicals was one thing, but deconstructing and then reconstructing them? That was a whole new level of effort that the whitettes simply couldn't conjure up. Whilst she couldn't complain, some new advanced technology would be a treat right about now, but she highly doubted she get any in the next two years.

The forensic lab only occupied her, as the bosses deemed her capable of diagnosing the samples all by herself, and the fact she might go psycho on an intern for screwing something up. She liked her space, her chilled music and her mini fridge tucked underneath her desk to let anyone else invade her personal space. If you had asked her, then she would say she considered this place a home more then her own, and that she liked the freedom that came along with it. Long hour, high pay, free roam; it was basically a paradise for the young girl.

Unfortunately, she had friends that liked to come in and say hello, and whilst it was a nice gesture, she hated how it affected her work. Some would say she liked complete isolation, and others, that she liked her space, but in reality, she just wanted to get as much done before going home to her warm cup of hot chocolate and Netflix.

"Hey! Y/N! How's the work going along?" Giving an internal sigh, begrudgingly, the female turned to her head to see a red haired male strut into her place of work, stepping over all the papers, as she might slit his throat if he dirtied them even more.

"Hey Kirishima, it's going good, this shit has some weird chemicals in it." She replied casually, acknowledging the samples in front of her, pointing it out for the red head. Looking over the smaller girls shoulder, he stared at the evidence, trying to make sense of it all. He was just a special agent that enforcd the law alongside his fellow colleagues, he didn't have a clue as to what went down in the labs, he left all that in the hands of his lady scientist.

"What exactly is it?" He asked slowly, sneaking a glance at the scientist for any tells. Instead, she kept a straight face as she scribbled down insights and formulas in her little notebook, tongue sticking out slightly as she did.

"Basically, it's some sort of concoction with some bad chemicals, like uranium, nitroglycerin, all that kind of stuff." She replied, placing down her small notebook, "it seems to possess some... other qualities that I'm still researching." Kirishima gave a nod, wrapping his head around the vague description given go him.

"Wait, Bakugou uses glycerin for his quirk, doesn't he? How is it in there?" He asked, pointing to the chain routes of the purple liquid. The female shrugged before taking his hand, and steering it away from her delicate samples.

"That's my point, but I'm still figuring out the details. But yes, like Bakugou's glycerin, this shit might explode, and could easily if exposed to other substances." She explains, slowly so her work mate could understand easier. He nodded as he held his chin.

"Do... you need, like, a bodyguard or something? Because I could do that for you!" He beamed a sharp smile, sunshine flooding towards the female scientist. "Y'know! So you don't get your face exploded off. I'm basically immune since Bakugou keeps blasting me." He explained, making the female chuckle.

"Thank you for the offer, but I'm afraid I need to do this on mg own, Kirishima. I'm sure you still have work to attend to anyways." She replied politely, making the males smile dim a little, which abruptly ignited again.

"It's everyone's lunch break anyways! Lemme treat 'ya to lunch! Please?" He clasped his hands in front of him, leaning closer as he gave his version of puppy dog eyes. Sighing, Y/N placed a hand on his shoulder and gently pushed him away, giving a small frown.

"I'd love to, but I still have a lot of work ahead of me-"

"You can do it when you're fed! Let's go!" Interrupting the girls sentence, the red head grabbed her wrist and yanked her towards the exit, not before she silently hit the table on accident from the sudden contact.

"Kirishima!"

"It'll be fine!"

And with that, both adults fled through the double doors and into the main building, with the female giving a last glance back at her work in vain. Sighing, she turned around and let the determined red head guide her to wherever it was they were going.

The sound of lofi hip hop filled the empty room, which was the first time it had been empty for hours. Over the soft music, the sound of something rolling was heard, a stray test tube on the loose from the impact. Surely enough, the capsule of green liquid was on the edge of the table from the sudden impact, an inch or so over the edge. The test tube hit it, inevitably knocking it over the edge and landing on the floor.

A shatter rang out, but no one was there to hear it. The green lime fizzled and popped, sprinkling the mini fridge with some of its particles as the glass seemed to dissolve into it, clashing and merging with the substance.  Another vicious pop sounded out, and the liquid melted the flooring below it, slipping into the ground and dissolving anything in its way.

Needless to say- Y/N will have a lot
to do after lunch.
