"U-uh... M-mom? I c-can explain..."

"Can you?" Saito's mom squinted her eyes suspiciously at her son.

"Uhm..." Saito was now sweating bullets and couldn't think of an answer for his mom.

"Excuse me, Miss Saito. Sorry for the intrusion but currently I am having a slight problem with my family and I thought of staying at Saito-kun's house for awhile. I hope I won't be a bother. I promise I won't cause any problem for you and your family." (Y/n) bowed politely at his mom and waited for a response.

She returned to formal! He thought.

Saito's mom stared at the petite girl for awhile until she said, "Excuse us. You, follow me." She pointed at Saito sternly and led the scared boy to the kitchen far away from (Y/n).

"M-mom..."

"Sato, where did you find this young girl?"

"Eh? From school. Why?"

His mom looked at him for awhile until she gives a thumbs up and grins.

"What?" Saito was confused at his mother's action.

"I approve." She continues to give a thumbs up and gave a closed eye grin.

"Mom!" Now, he was blushing madly at what his mom has said.

"What? She's such a polite girl! Why did she even fought with her family?" His mother asked but Saito just kept quite.

"Is it something that I'm not supposed to know?"

He nods.

"Okay then. Just take good care of her and remember, I approve."

"Mom! We're not even in a relationship!!" He exclaimed in embarrassment and due to the sudden outburst, (Y/n) look towards the direction and wondered what was going on between the two.

Maybe I shouldn't have come here... She thought, feeling a bit guilty.

"Oh but you will. 🤭"

"MOM!!" Saito shouted again and literally turned 100 shades of red.

"Hoho... Just go hang out with her. I'll be in my room if you need me~"

"W-what about dinner?"

"It's fine~ I already ate so just enjoy your dinner with your girlfriend~" She winks but Saito just blushes again.

"MOM! For the last time! We're not in a relationship!"

His mother just ignored what he said and just quickly walked to her room while giggling a bit, leaving the blushing male to stand in the kitchen awkwardly.

Hope she didn't listen to the conversation... He thought and began to continue preparing dinner for just the two of them.

(Y/n), still didn't know what was going on, just awkwardly walked back to the couch and continued watching TV, waiting for the food to arrive.

Time Skip

As (Y/n) was about to doze off soon, she smells something delicious coming from the kitchen. She followed the scent and was met with different kinds of delicious food on the table.

"I hope it isn't too much..." Saito said as he scratched his neck in embarrassment, but he saw the sparkling eyes of the girl and can't help but to chuckle.

"You made all these?" She said in astonishment.

"Yep! C'mon, let's eat." He said as he pulled out the chair.

"What about your mom?" (Y/n) did the same when she asked.

"She already ate and told us to eat without her. So just enjoy the food. Hope you like it. It probably won't be as delicious as the ones your chef made..." Saito mumbled at the last part, worried about the taste.

(Y/n) took a bite while Saito waited for her reaction.

"T-this is delicious..." She stated in amazement as she took a bite of other dishes, and all of them were equally delicious.

"R-really?"

"Yea! Hey, Sato-kun, do you perhaps want to be a chef?" (Y/n) asked while looking at the stunned boy.

"W-what makes you say that? I'm not that good." Saito denied.

"Why not? This is delicious! Your future wife will be so lucky~" (Y/n) beamed as she continued to eating. And of course, when Saito heard the words 'future wife', he immediately blushed.

"I know! Why don't you come cook for me and my family at my house?!" The girl exclaimed and stared at him with eyes full of hope.

"W-what...?"

Holy... Going to her hous-- *cough* mansion? As a chef? And more importantly, I'll technically be seeing her everyday?!

"I-i don't think that's p-possible, (Y/n)-chan..."

"Why not? I'm sure you'll be a great chef someday." She smiles brightly at the boy and he can't help but to blush at her cute face.

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah!"

"Okay... I'll try my best..." I'll be the best chef in the world, just for you (Y/n)-chan.

"Good luck then! I'll be cheering for you!" (Y/n) beamed and Saito just nodded with a smile.

This is the first time I've ever seen her smile so much... It'll be nice if she smiles everyday...

And with that, the two teenagers continued with their dinner and had some conversation here and there. What they didn't know, was that a lady was listening to the whole conversation with a smile on her face.

Time Skip

After dinner, (Y/n) helped with washing the dishes, even though Saito kept protesting.

"Do you want to watch something, (Y/n)-chan?"

"No thanks. I've already watched enough of TV. I should probably go study. Want to join?" She offered, which made Saito slumped his shoulder.

"You're going to study...?" He pouts.

"Yea... Gotta keep the grades up, ya know?" She said.

"Okay..."

"So, will you be joining me? I can teach you if you want."

A study date?!--- *slaps himself*

"S-sure!"

"Just tell me what subjects you're bad at and I'll teach you, okay?"

"Yes ma'am!" He saluted and (Y/n) just chuckled.

"See you later or tomorrow. Good night, Sato-kun." She bid a goof night and went to her room.

"G'night, (Y/n)-chan!"

A study date... That's nice...
