The idea for this story came to me after the episode "Weredad" in season 3 was released. There's a scene where Cat Noir is having an awkward meal with Marinette's family and he comments that it is basically the friendliest meal he's had in months and I thought how sad that statement was and decided I wanted to change that. And my brain went- well, what if he is kind of welcomed into Marinette's home regularly? And what if that leads to Cat and Marinette talking more? And if Adrien got to know Marinette when she wasn't flustered, would he finally see her for herself rather than the awkward Marinette from school? And finally admit his attraction to her? To help their relationship out even more, I set up a way for Marinette to get to know Adrien better, too. I wanted to find out whether seeing Adrien more often could help Marinette get over her craziness around him! Plagg and Tikki might help them out a bit, too.
