"Willow must be pranking us. Ha-ha Willow. Very funny, you may come out now." Abigail said and looked around. "I'm sorry but I don't think this is a prank Abi." Caleb said and he took the note. "It's written in blood. Willow is evil at times when she feels like it. But not this evil." And he dropped the note. "I guess we have to go inside and face our worst fear then." Aaron said. As if he had said the magic words the front door opened in front of us. "Are you mad!? Haven't you seen any horror movies? The supposed to be dumb pretty girl always dies first, which is me. I am not going!" Abigail almost yelled at Aaron. "Calm down princess, I will never let such thing happen to you. Let me be your knight in shining armor." Caleb said with the brightest smile possible on his face. "Thank you Caleb. But I don't know. I'm scared. We should just go and call the police. Maybe Willow is waiting for us at her appartment." Abigail replied. "Abigail is right. Why would we go inside there? We don't even know Willow is in there. The texts says she is late. We should wait for her." Molly joined in. "But what if the note is truly from Willow but the text insn't?" I suggested. "We can atleast check if Willow if inside. If not we can always leave right?" Hunter said. "No way I am going in there. I care about Willow but no. We die if we go inside this house." Abigail said stubbornly. "Willow might be in danger. I'm not gonna lose someone else to this place. One is enough." It looked like Ava came out of no where. Usually she was a very quiet person. But now I saw a totally different Ava. The fire in her eyes told me no one could change her mind. Without an other word said Ava walked beside us inside the house. Everyone remained silent while she went inside. What did she mean by 'I'm not gonna lose someone else to this place.'? Had she been here before? "Willow?" Ava whispered. It was dark for a moment. Ava put her flashlight on that she had on her phone. "Willow? Are you there?"She said a bit louder while shining through the hallway. "Willow this is not a funny joke. We are worried. Are you there?" She walked through the big hall way. Once this mansion was very fancy. There was a big cristal chandelier on the ceiling. I could imagine how shiny everything must have been before. Antique vases and sculptures were shown on different pilars in almost every cornor. Spiders had taken over the whole place sadly. Also ivy and other plants had covered a part of the mansion. The floor and double stairs were made of marble. Everything was covered in dust. It must have cost a fortune before. But time had ruined it. Ava turned around and looked at us. "Are you guys coming or do I need to look for Willow myself?" I stood there frozen for a moment. Should I go? Willow would have laughed at me if she saw me. 'A scared little chicken' she would have called me. Was Willow really in danger? Or was she just pulling a sick prank? I got startled by a sudden hand on my shoulder. "Woah dude, it's just me. Are you okay?" Hunter asked. He looked concerned at me and I shrugged. "I don't know to be honest. All this. Do you think Willow is really in danger? And what about all these stories about the place being haunted." "Those are stories after all. So you never know for sure if they are a true or not. There is only one way to find out. And no worries, Willow is a tough cookie. You need to be made out of the best wood possible to beat her. We will find her, I can promise you that." He tried to reassure me. I nodded my head and followed him inside. When all of us were inside the doors banged shut behind us. Out of nowhere candles were lit. Nobody moved for a full minute. Abigail was the first to move. She ran towards the door and tried to open it. "The door is locked! I told you guys to not go inside. Well that's it, we are now officially gonna die here." She said hysterically. I didn't dare to reply. I knew she was right. But we couldn't leave Willow to die either now could we? It was a typical trolley problem. One persons life or that from many others. Caleb walked towards Abigail in silence and put his arms around her to soothe her. Ava slowly moved to turn off her flashlight. "Maybe we can find a piece of wood and make a torch out of it. That way we can see a bit more and explore the house." Nathan suggested. Caleb let Abigail go and went with Nathan to find a stick. "It really isn't funny anymore Willow. Stop this!" Molly said, you could hear she was getting annoyed by this. She was obviously hiding her fear. We all knew willow liked to prank us, but would she really go this far for a prank? It was obvious we didn't like it. "How do you expect Willow to lit all these candles at the same time?" Aaron asked very calmly. "I don't know. She must have some tricks. I won't believe it's actually haunted in here. Ghosts don't exists. Willow is probably laughing her ass of somewhere right now." "Molly is right. Willow does this often. Remember when we watched the ring together? She sneaked out and came back in a white gown and black hair. She freaked the hell out of us." Abigail said. She was already done with this before it had even started. "Willow would never go this far to prank us. She has a heart you know." I said to them. I started to believe the history of the mansion was very true. "You're crazy if you actually believe this Toby." Abigail said harshly. There was the feisty girl again we knew. I saw her shivering and she rubbed her hands over her arms again. "Guys, guys, calm down okay? There is no point in us fighting about this. We need to find Willow first before we jump into conclusions. Now I don't want to believe in ghosts either. But...I guess we need to keep it open as an option. Right?" Hunter told us and we nodded. "So how is the torch going boys?" Hunter turned towards Caleb and Nathan who were trying to put a small patch of fabric, which they had knotted on a piece of wood, on fire. "Confirmed arsonist. I say we lynch them." Aaron said and I laughed. "Everyone vote guilty." I joined in. "Noo, we are innocent. I am lookout I swear." Defended Caleb himself. "We need a lighter. The candles aren't lighting it." Nathan said with a frown. "I have one" Ava popped up. "What does a small girl like you do with a lighter?" I joked and she send me a glare. "Watch it, kid." I frowned, but decided to not reply on it. Ava never reacted like this when I called her small. It was an ungoing joke between us. Ava had some bad memories haunting her about this mansion. That was obvious. She was acting very strangley. I should ask her about it later. Something was bothering her. And I was determined to find out what.
