Chapter Fourteen:
April’s Point Of View:
We did it five times, Jaden and I made love fives times-fours times in the bed and once in the shower-and I’ve never felt better. We rolled around and messed around in the bed in our underwear, Jaden kept pulling the quilt over us and kissing me after tickling me so he can get to my lips. I was having so much fun that I’d forgotten who I was…my name, my whole life; Jaden does that-Jaden makes me forget who I am. I sat up… and looked at the time, it was eight o clock!-Shit!- Taylor’s got a school trip and he has to be at school by half past eight so this is going to be a tough task.
I threw on my robe, leaving Jaden in the bed and rushed to Taylor’s room.
‘Taylor…sweetie, C’mon it’s time to get up’ I whispered, shaking him a little.
‘Okay…I get to go to the Central Park Zoo today all the way in New York-and-I get to get the subway car’ Taylor exclaimed, jumping up and racing into his bathroom.
I laughed lightly. ‘You mean the train, don’t you Taylor?’ I smiled, helping him brush his hair, despite the amount of times he told me that big boys don’t have mommy’s who brush their hair and pick out their clothes, so I allowed him to choose,
Taylor picked out a Ben 10 shirt, black skinny jeans and his favorite Ben 10 rain boots that Blake got him for Christmas. ‘See mommy, this is what boys who are almost five wear-Misa told me yesterday in our Art class’
I smiled a little, I had to face it sooner or later because my little boy was growing up…he was no longer the fetus I cradled for nine months or the baby I held close to me for a year. I wiped away the tear that was slowly trickling down my face; it was hard to face the back that in about fourteen years time Taylor was going to leave me to venture on out in the real world.
‘Okay…I’m gonna go and get dressed’ I sighed, getting up. ‘There’s some breakfast for you in the fridge, so just eat that and mommy will be right down, okay?’
Taylor nodded slowly before grabbing his coat and school bag and heading downstairs. I quickly headed back to my room where Jaden was putting his clothes on. ‘Leaving so soon?’ I sighed, digging through the drawers and throwing out a pair of jeans, a Ralph Lauren polo shirt and putting on a pair of black Keds.
‘Yeah…As much as I’d like to stay and be with you all day…It’s my first day of filming’ Jaden sighed, pulling me into his arms and kissing my neck. ‘Man of Action…’ he added with a certain referral.
I laughed and playfully pushed him away. ‘Sneak out the back door’ kiss ‘Turn right at the fifth garage on your left’ kiss ‘then make your way through the bushy arch’ kiss…kiss…kiss. Jaden and I snuck downstairs, while I distracted Taylor by asking him what he wants for lunch, he blew a kiss and I pretended to catch it; he smirked and headed out the back door.
I dropped Taylor off at school, came home and did the normal housewife chores…laundry…dishes…vacuuming and grocery shopping. I hadn’t seen Blake since he had one of his bitch fits and stormed out the house…Pfft. I wonder what he’s up to right now, probably drinking at some bar and flirting with the bartender.
I heard a loud bang and then the door slam…Talk of the devil. ‘April!?-Where the fuck are you?’ Blake’s voice boomed, throughout the whole house. I rolled my eyes and dried the last dish before putting it in the cupboard. I turned around to face the arch way where Blake would enter the kitchen and braced myself.
‘What is it, dear?’ I asked, keeping my voice calm. He had something scrunched up in his hand.
‘Don’t dear me!’ Blake yelled, coming towards me and pressing himself against me.
I was beginning to get scared, I’ve never seen Blake like this-and I’ve seen him angry before-But this was beyond angry, like I’m-so-gonna-mess-you-up-right-now angry.
‘Blake, please tell me what I’ve done!’ I pleaded, as his fists balled and his jaws clenched…I’m soo gonna get beaten up today-if not-killed.
‘Why should I have to tell you?-You should know-Your face is all over the fucking magazines!’ Blake bellowed, causing the whole kitchen-including me-to tremble like mad…all over the magazines?-Jaden didn’t tell me anything about that.
Blake shoved a piece of scrunched up paper in my face. I opened it up; it had been viciously torn from a magazine…so it was clear that Blake had found it in the first place. There was a headline in big bold letters so that it was hard to miss that said ‘Jaden’s New Moon?’ and below that was a picture of Jaden kissing a girl-me-on the doorstep of a very familiar house-the one I’m living in-I looked Blake in the face, knowing what was going to happen next.
‘Blake…I don’t know what to say….’ I cried, looking at him. ‘All I can say is sorry’ I bit my lip to prevent it from shaking; Blake looked neutral, like he could either lash out or pull me into his arms. I didn’t move or say anything, I just scanned his face…trying to figure out what he was going to do.
Blake scoffed after half an hour of me just staring at him, ‘Is that all you can say?’ I nodded slowly, waiting eagerly for what was going to happen next. ‘Ever heard of a famous saying-Actions speak louder than words?’
I nodded slowly; I knew that one too well; it had gotten me into both trouble and safety in the past but today it was going to kill me. ‘Yes, I have.’
‘Remember what my exact words were, if I ever find that you’re cheating on me?’ Blake demanded, his voice, hard and icy.
My hands started to shake-I’m going to die today, I didn’t even get to say goodbye to Taylor, he didn’t let me give him a kiss good bye because he said ‘Mom! I’m almost five and big boys who are almost five don’t get kissy kisses from their mommies!’ I smiled in remembrance of what my little boy had said to me. I looked Blake in the eye and nodded…I think I’m kind of ready to die.
‘Good-Well it’s time to perform these actions, before you think you can get away with it!’ Blake said, dragging me out of the kitchen.
I screamed as he pulled hard on my hair. ‘Shut up!-Get your coat and your shoes on!’ Blake shouted pushing me towards the stairs; I threw on my black parka and my black converses and speeded down the stairs. Blake carried me into the garage, buckled me in the back seat of the car and drove off.
Okay, i wasn't supposed to finish it there, but i have homework to do so the next chappie will be up tomorrow!! :)
