As days passed Komal's desire to visit Lahore strengthened. Aamirul hailed from that place. One evening she decided to tell her parents about what she wished.

"Mother, don't you think it would be good to visit Lahore?"

"Amid this turmoil?"

"Yes, what better time?"

"It is totally inadvisable. Besides, are you sure about getting a Visa to Pakistan? I think it is an absurd proposition given the war-like situation that these neighbours are keen to create. You can think about a trip when things calm down a bit".

Komal was perfectly aware that her mother spoke these words to console her. Her mother was sympathetic towards her and thus she tried to alleviate her pain.

Suddenly, she felt a pain somewhere inside her throat. For her mother, her friend and herself. She remembered the yelling news presenter. "Why are these big men keen on creating enemies rather than cultivating friends", she whispered. Tears rolled down her eyes. She sensed it but felt helpless. She was lost in her thoughts.

That night, Komal was walking in her dreams. She was walking even further towards the horizon amidst a sea of yellow, with that blue umbrella in her hand. The mustard plants leaned on either side to make way for her. She could see a new town in the distance, somewhere around the horizon. It was a bit far but clearly visible. Some of the old structures of that place greeted her in a welcoming note. She was confident of reaching there. Once she arrived there she would meet Aamir for sure. She did not doubt that Aamir was also looking for her.
