Chapter 12

I drove to school today after all my mom did by me a car plus the bus takes forever. I already asked Hazel if she wanted me to pick her up. She said yes of course so i was heading over to her place to pick her up. I remembered it like it was the first day we met. I pulled into her driveway, but something was wrong. I heard her yell something back as she slammed the front door to her house. I cocked an eyebrow as she opened the door and sat down. "Um?"

"Just go!" She snapped.

I started the engine and turned around and then drove off to school. I wanted to make conversation and you know, well ask what just happened back there. I looked at her i couldn't focus on the rode. "Fuck it." I said sighing while pulling off to the side of the highway.

"Um, why did we stop?!"

"What's wrong with you?" What happened back there at your house. Why are you sad. Who hurt you. You haven't said a word except for telling me ti just go. So.... Whats wrong?"

"Nothing." She said nervously..., i could feel it.

Smirking i said "You know i know when your lying right?!"

"Fine ill tell you on the way to school now let's go before we are late please!" "I don't want another lecture!"

"Okay." I started the engine and got back on the highway. She was still looking out the window.

"So...... We are driving mind explaining?" I said getting to the point.

My heart snapped. She turned around. Me seeing her teardrops hit her shirt. I was confused and why was she crying. Did i do something? Did someone hurt her! I'll kill them! I was snapped back to life, we pulled in the high school car lot. I parked and locked the doors. "Now what's wrong!" I wrapped my arms around her. She pushed me away and wiped her eyes.

"Your.. Your not my boy friend, my mate, my anything!" We are done. I was wrong we aren't meant to be together. You were human and i took that away from you! I am so selfish.

"I don't care!" I am still in love with you! I don't miss being human, as long as I'm with you I'm fine. All i need is you!" I was interrupted.

"It's over we are not mates." I am paired to someone else. I have to get to class bye." She said crying and pressed the unlock button on the side of the door and walked away.

I was frozen. How,why,when, i didn't understand and paired to someone else! No! I looked in my car window. The mark. I am her mate look! Or em i just a wolf. I'm lost. Hazel. No. No. No!

"Hazel wait! I need more answers! I opened the car door and slammed it and ran into the school."
