I know everything.

I see everything.

Everything concerning you.

You're next.

First you're parents, now their pitiful child.

I wake with a start, trying to shake it. It was just a nightmare.

JUST a nightmare.

A nightmare that felt so real.

Thinking back, I can't help but get the feeling that someone is watching me. Shuddering, I glance around the dark room, thinking back. Shortly after Carol and the social worker left the room, I had fallen asleep. Everything had been perfect, until the dream.

I was in the room, alone, or so I had thought. I had looked around, and saw them.

The eyes.

They were sitting in the chair next to my bed, a wicked grin on their face. When they were sure I knew they were there, They stood up, and walked the few feet to my bed. Boring down on me, they start talking.

I know everything.

I see everything.

Everything concerning you.

You're next.

First you're parents, now their pitiful child.

The dream cut off when I woke up, but I couldn't help but feel that it was real. That's ridiculous, I chant to myself, but fail at fully convincing myself.

It's about an hour later, when they reappear, Jerry with them as well this time. Carol has tears in her eyes, and the social worker looks like he's just seen a ghost. I resist a smirk, knowing how Carol is about us, how protective she is.

"Camber, we're going to have a doctor come in, and we will consult, and decide the best living situation for you for the time being." The social worker won't look at me, probably thinking of me as a charity case. Of course.

The room is deadly silent, until the door is opened again, and in walks the last doctor I expected to see.

Dr. Taylors.

"Hello!" Dr. Taylors smiles at me, and I smile back. I like him, he gets me, and he's probably my best shot at keeping me with Carol.

"Hello, Mr. Taylors, we're so glad you could make it on such short notice." Jerry reaches over to shake the mans hand, a genuine smile on his face.

"Oh! It's no problem. I was in Northern California when you called. Not that far." He surpasses the social worker, and comes to sit on the edge of my bed. Before trying to hold conversation, he pulls out a notepad and pen out of his jacket pocket.

Grinning, I take it from him, and flip to a clean sheet, nodding for him to begin.

"Now, Camber, I know what happened was an accident, is that correct?"

Um yeah, I think so.

UNKNOWN POV

"I know everything. I see everything. Everything concerning you. You're next. First you're parents, now their pitiful child." Curling up my lip in amusement, I stalk away from the terrified girl. Killing her would be too easy, so I decided to at least have some fun with it.

I must say, it is fun seeing her scared senseless. My plan had worked perfectly.

She got my letter, and everything had been going great until she started having relations with her new room mate. When he got her to talk, I was shocked. Thought I had done enough the first time to shut her up.

Guess not.

Learning their plans for Thanksgiving was merely a bump in the road. I payed that little brat to hug her, and my job was done.

She was admitted into the hospital, and I was watching the whole time.

Laughing to myself, I exit the hospital, gaining no suspicious stares.

Why would I?

I am just a man, after all.

A murder man.
