chapter 1: Waking up

(imagine brown hair and blue eyes)
Opening my eyes all I see is a haze of yellow liquid in front of me, blinking my eyes a few times to try and clear my sight. The image in front of me looks unfamiliar all I see is a pale white. As I raise my hand and place it on the glass trying to gain a better view of what's outside, a flashing red light can be seen through the haze. A few seconds later as the liquid starts to drain from the cylinder I frantically hit the glass trying to understand what is going on. The liquid drains to the hair on my head and I can't help but close my eyes and wait for what's to come. When it hits my nose I breath in but start to cough from the liquid in my lungs. I finish coughing and look up only to see a smiling figure looking at me then looks to the side at a monitor. Nodding she presses a button and I feel a rush of air as the glass starts to open and she looks down.

???: "Excellent it worked, the first step in making and reviving the Eridian race is complete." She looks at me and offers her hand .

???: "It's time to get up, we need to run more tests. You may call me Tannis but I don't expect your vocal cords to work right now and you are test subject 0. But the name is inconvenient for this situation so you shall be called y/n."

Tannis lifts you up and takes you over to a nearby chair. As you get a better look at your surroundings, you notice that your in some kind of lab somewhere but you don't know where. When you sit down you look back at Tannis and lift up your hand pointing a finger at Tannis and y/n says.

Y/n:"T-t-tannis"

A look of surprise fell over tannis's
Face

Tannis:'I can't help but be surprised that he could speak he shouldn't be able to do that for awhile this is excellent he's developing even faster then intended.'

Y/n: 'I can't help but shiver I'm getting cold from just being released from the pod and the lab being a little chilly. Tannis takes a notice to this and quickly walks away to a nearby drawer and pulls out a towel she swiftly walks back and wraps the towel around you.

Tannis: "Its expected to be cold in here I do apologize for that, anyways it's time to resume the tests."

Y/n: She went over to a near by cart and pushed it over to the chair I was in On the cart there was a tray with a great assortment of blades, needles and other doctor like objects. My face pales as I look at the needles. She follows my gaze and her eyes land on the needle I was looking at.

Tannis: "We will be using these needles later so don't be to excited."

She grabs a small mallet and bends down to get close to my leg she lightly tapped my leg and it jolted upward getting up she grabbed a clipboard right next to the tray and she wrote something down from then on she began running many tests ranging from checking my ears and eyes to checking the toes on my feet. Finally she grabs my hand moving the towel. I can't help but widen my eyes because of the view I see. There are pure white tattoos running up my arm going past my shoulder making me wonder how far it goes.

Tannis can't help but notice my surprise.

Tannis:"Don't worry I'll explain the tattoos and what they are to you at a later date but you need a lot of rest."

She grabs my hand and takes me to a door just right of the chair. The door, which might I add is a stark contrast of rusty metal, compared to the white of the walls. There was a sign on the door saying something I couldn't understand. Tannis opened the door to reveal a bunch of stairs leading up after a couple of minutes it took to go up the stairs we came to a panel. Tannis pressed a few buttons on the panel when she finished a *hissss* could be heard from the other side a few mechanical whirs and the wall to the left of us slid open and revealed a bunch of washing machines in front of us and led me out and into a little hallway.

To the left I could see a door made of weird bars but I didn't catch a good look because Tannis quickly pulled me past a desk with a mirror right next to it. I caught a quick glance of my features but nothing really caught my eye. I had brown hair with blue eyes and I'm not that tall. I'd say I'm about four feet tall, maybe nine years old.

I Looked away and towards the bunk beds lining the wall. She left me standing next to one of the bunk beds and went over to what I presume to be her desk. She sat down looking at her clipboard taking notes.

I just kept my eyes on her. I was wondering what she wanted me to do. After a while she must have felt my stare because she looked up and our eyes met.

Tannis let a out a sigh and started walking back to me guiding me to a sitting position on the bed.

Tannis: "You need to sleep and we will continue more tests tomorrow but for now just close your eyes and sleep."

Listening to what Tannis said I laid my head onto the pillow and closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.
