I'd like to make this clear~ I do not like Chris Brown or Justin Bieber, but this song just seemed to fit.

On with the story!

[Sorry if it's not like a real wedding, I don't have much experience when it comes to these things |: ]

You got that smile that only heaven can make.

As she walked down the aisle, Minerva broke into a smile that lit up the whole church. Connor couldn't move, he was drawn to her like a moth to a flame. She was already beautiful, but that smile- just wow. Her pearly teeth were shining in straight rows, peeking out from a pair of full, kissable lips. Her dimples were just the icing on the cake.

I pray to God every day that you keep that smile.

Lifting up his head, he sent a silent prayer thanking whoever had given him such an amazing woman. He didn't deserve her, not at all.

You are my dream, there's not a thing I wouldn't do.

It felt almost surreal, standing in a simply decorated chapel, about to get married to the girl of his dreams. And he would do anything for her. He was a lovesick fool, frankly, and he knew that. Connor wondered if Minerva even realised that he was wrapped around her little finger.

I'll give my life up for you, 'cause you are my dream.

It was almost scary to think how easily he would give his life for hers. All he wanted to do was to keep her happy. And to be happy, first you need to be alive. That makes sense, right?

And baby, everything that I have is yours; you will never go cold or hungry.

Everything he had, and all he was; it was now hers. Connor would do anything within his means to make sure that she was comfortable and looked after.

I'll be there when you're insecure, let you know that you're always lovely, girl.

Both of them had gone through problems growing up, Minerva dealing with depression and PTSD after being sexually assaulted and beaten multiple times by her uncle. He had to deal with an alcoholic father, and his mother worked as a prostitute. His father had nearly killed him once, trying to rid all his problems by downing alcohol and beating him. It was only after he had collapsed on the hospital steps did others realise that something was up, and started taking action.

They'd both grown up feeling worthless, insecure and a waste of space. To make their relationship work, they'd had to be completely honest with each other. And sometimes Minerva would have her days, and old habits started acting up again as she grabbed her razor or a knife. It was then that he'd had to prise it gently from her fingers and wrap her in his arms until she calmed down.

'Cause you are the only thing that I got right now.

He'd been an only child, and all his friends had dropped him when he began his 'womanizer' habits. Connor used them to make himself feel better, to fill the gap inside him, to feel wanted and loved.

It never worked.

But he continued to do it anyway.

And then Minerva came along. She was what he was missing all these years, and all he wanted. It didn't matter anymore that his friends didn't want him; he was making new ones slowly but surely. It didn't matter not having any brothers or sisters or having his parents dead; they never loved him anyway. Her parents became the ones that he'd always wanted but never had. And when he first met his soon-to-be brother-in-law, they'd clicked instantly. It was as if they had known each other for many years.
