The Luau at Rydell high was alive; swaying bodies and cheering crowds engulfed the small field. Michael was now a T-bird, and he was honestly a bit shocked that Johnny would do such a thing and let him in. Everyone around them knew that sooner or later Michael would end up taking over the group, purely because of his newfound 'coolness'.
More upbeat music played towards the middle of the mass, where the Pink Ladies and the T-birds were, while near the booths and vendors there was more slow dance music. Stephanie and Michael were in the middle of the fray with the other couples, both of them grinning uncontrollably. All of them danced together, even switched around from time to time. Michael frowned as Paulette was passed to him, Stephanie swatting Goose's arm playfully for breaking them up.
"I thought you two lovebirds could use a break," He snickered, spinning her around. "Oh give me a break Goose, I just found out who he was today!"
Goose stuck his tongue out at her, and she laughed, putting both her hands on each of his shoulders and pushing him away. Michael spun Paulette around and into Johnny's arms as the music slowed. He put out his hand for Stephanie, who had her hands on her hips standing before him.
"May I have this dance?" He asked, grinning. Stephanie took his hand, pushing her fingers between his.
"I don't know, are you gonna wear a helmet and goggles for all of it?" She said sarcastically as Michael pulled her in closer.
"Ha-ha, very funny." Stephanie chuckled and put her small hands on each of his shoulders, her gaze getting more serious. Michael's hands rested on her hips, his index finger tracing small patterns on her dress. His blue eyes met her own and she kissed him lightly, only stopping to smile at him.
"So...you did all that for me? You bought a cycle and became that gorgeous mystery guy?" She said, her fingers toying with the neck of his jacket.
"Shakespeare needed more than just big words to impress, apparently." He smiled. "And did you just give me a compliment?" Stephanie smiled, shaking her head.
"Did you learn how to accept compliments?" She countered, tilting her head.
"Maybe," He smiled slightly. "but only if they're from you." He said, his hand roving up and down the small of her back slowly, so slowly that she could barely feel it, and her skin had goosebumps in wake.
