A short poem by me, about my representation of spring.
Picture this:
Groundhogs mark that spring's coming,
the birds are back and chirping away.
You exchange your heavy boots for shoes,You run outside.
The trees are fattening with pretty leaves, flowers and fruit while the grass grows greener than ever before and tweety bird is singing his tune.
You take a moment to realize you're almost on spring break,
yeah that's right.
It's almost spring break.
The snow's nearly gone and you swear you've been seeing dandelions everywhere.
This isn't a dream.It's heaven.
So you lay down on the grass, one foot crosses over the other and you let out a soft sigh as you relax.
Enjoy it while it lasts because in 3 minutes, it'll be 5 seconds of summer then you'll be complaining about the freezing snow for 6 months.
Don't forget about fall though, Halloween's the best time of the year! But seriously, can you picture spring though it's nearly winter again?
What does it feel like? Smell like?
What does it taste like? Sound like?
What does it look like?Remember spring and be grateful whenever it comes.
It doesn't last forever.
Nothing does.
