The cold September air was harsh on my face as I ran down the street. If I'm being honest, I have no idea where to go. I'm basically running all over the place. My legs hurt and I feel like I'm going to pass out. I turned the corner of the street and immediately stop.

What the fuck?!

Right there in front of was Kenny, his lanky body laying on the cold asphalt. His body was wounded. Not far from him was John's. His small frame was propt up against the wall of some business. I stumbled towards him and knelt down. His breath was shallow, eyes cracked open.

"John?" I called out to the child, hoping he could hear me.

"Evan?" His voice was hoarse, he sounded tired.

"Yeah, it's me. What happened?"

He hesitated. "This.... guy. He-he blocked all of our attacks. He was...." He stopped, tiered from all the talking, but he continued. "Go look for Ruby."

I nodded and stood, looking for the red haired girl. I turn my head to see her huddled up against another building. Her hood was down and her face was exposed to the cold air. I frowned, John must not of known that she passed out. I go to move, instead of standing there and staring at an unconscious girl. I looked around and through abandoned alleyways, until I see puddle of fresh blood. I froze, unsure what to. I walked up to it consciously. I stood in front of it, starting at the deep red abyss. The air in the alley smelt strongly like pennies, so strong that I could taste it.

That's when it happened. A dark figure jumped of me, their movements fast and sudden. Two flashes of silver sliced open the skin on my nose and in between my eyes. After a moment I felt my face sting with pain. I moved my hand towards the cut and felt something wet. Blood.

I looked up to see the black figure, they seemed to be a male around my age. He was tall, his skin a pasty white. The outfit he wore was contrasting with his skin, the black jeans and long sleeved shirt, the cuffs rolled up to his elbows. The mask that covered his face. Black with X's for eyes and a crooked smile. His elbony hair covered haft of it. A lone sword in his hand, my, and many others, blood covering it.

He lifted his sword again, the blade most likely made with pure silver, the little blood droplets fell and splattered on the cold concrete ground. He was going to attack again, but I froze. I couldn't stop staring at him. The sword aimed at my face again in an attempt to puncture my skull, but I put my hands in front of my face. I successfully stopped the sword from going through my head, but the blade broke the skin and tore through the meat and vains of my left hand. I screamed in pain, wanting nothing more than for the blade to leave my wound.

In a flash of movement, he ripped the sword from my hand, leaving only blood, tissue, bone, and meat. Cradling my hand, I take off my scarf and wrapped it around the puncture. The blue fabric started to stain with maroon blood. I looked up at him, my eyes bore into the dark mask. He moved to attack for the third time, but he froze. He stood, staring through the mask, into my eyes. Why is he staring at me? Not wanting to miss my shot, I used my unharmed hand to create a water bullet out of thin, penny scented air and aim it at his head. Of course, the liquid bullet misses the target, flying by and grazing the crook of his neck.

He snapped out of his daze, his sword lowering slightly, his hand moving to his neck. Though, the bullet had missed it's target, it had hit a metal pole. The pole fell over due to it being hit, and smashed into his skull. I winced at the crack his head had made in contact with the metal. I continued to stand there, unsure what to do. Slowly, I took the silver blade sword, picking it up by the black leather handle. I took the butt of said sword and poked the black haired villain with it. He didn't wake, he was still breathing so he wasn't dead, just knock out.
