Chapter 3: the beauty and the beast [part 1]

It's been weeks ever since Seokjin's death. The group had accustomed to silence. Ever since Seokjin's death, a sudden atmosphere had floated around them.

An atmosphere they couldn't quite decipher. All they knew is that they never stopped looking behind their backs. They made sure to travel in groups of two. They made sure to look back when they walked.

Namjoon looked at Yoongi who was sitting near him in class. Yoongi-ah." He started and Yoongi looked up with his eyebrow raised. "We have a project to complete."

Namjoon wasn't being disrespectful. Seokjin's death affected him just as much as it affected everyone else but, they couldn't just wail over it for months and months now. Their own personal lives and work mattered too.

Yoongi took note of Namjoon's pleas and he nodded. He let out of a sigh of relief when he noticed the other nod.

"My house?" Namjoon asked and Yoongi nodded. "Sure."

"I'm going to go use the washroom," Yoongi whispered and Namjoon nodded. "Alright."

Yoongi let out a deep sigh as he locked the door behind him. He slowly slid down the door and choked on his shaky breath.

He clenched his fists before he pulled out a pocket knife from his hoodie. He stared at it before he dragged his thumb across the blade.

Blood wept out from the little cut, drops of it dripping slowly like rain on the tiles. Yoongi felt the anger seeping out of himself through the little opening, a sudden euphoria climbing through his limbs in relief.

Yoongi was about to get up until he heard his phone vibrate in his pocket. He fumbled around with his hands before he pulled out his phone from his hoodie.

UNKNOWN:

oh, yoongi.

poor little yoongi.

are you still weeping for Seokjin's death?

Yoongi's breathing became harsh and uneven when he read the messages. The blood from his thumb smeared all over his phone from typing with it.
