2 - "Surprise?"

"Todoroki...?"

I turned around and spotted Momo standing in the bathroom doorway, her hands trembling over her mouth.

Ugh I TOLD her to knock! I thought.

"Momo. Hey."

"You...you have Hanakai?"

"Surprise?"

"Who...who do you..."

"I'm gay. And its Midoriya."

"Oh no...I'm so sorry!" She cried, running to my side and hugging me. "When are you going to get the surgery?"

"I'm not."

"What?!"

"My dad is a massive homophobe. If I told him I had Hanahaki, he would be pissed that I stooped so low as to have fallen inlove. And knowing him, he'd also do everything in his power to find out who I'm inlove with. Then he'll abandon me and I cant live on my own just yet. The best bet is to just deal with Hanahaki."

"But it results in death, Todoroki! Death!"

"Which is why you need to make my last few months memorable. Be the friend I need you to be. Make me smile. Make me happy."

"Anything for you." She whispered.

She hugged me again, and I hugged her back. When I pulled away, I wiped her eyes and stood up, lending her a hand and helping her up too.

"What can I do to help?" Momo asked me.

"Nothing really. I love soba, so do you want to go to a soba place downtown? It's one of my favorite restaurants."

"Of course! Just let me go change out of my uniform. Do you want it to be just us or would you like for others to tag along?"

"Anything is fine. If you want to invite some others then go ahead. I'll meet you in the common area in ten minutes."

And with that, Momo left. I shut the door and walked over to my wardrobe, grabbing a T-shirt, Jean's, and a jacket. When I changed into them, I slipped on my shoes, grabbed my phone, and went down to the common area. After a few minutes, Momo appeared with Jiro, Kirishima, and Kaminari. They all waved at me as they approached.

"I hope this is ok, Todoroki. They seemed like the best people to have a cheery conversation with without involving Mid or Ura.." Momo whispered to me.

"That's fine. Thank you. And call me Shoto please."

Momo nodded. Perhaps she wanted to do everything I asked so my final months on earth would be enjoyable. We got up and all left the dorms, stepping out of the UA campus and making our way downtown for some soba. When we got to the soba place, we got a table and sat down.

"So, Todoroki, what was that whole scene earlier today?" Kaminari asked.

"Excuse me?" I responded.

"You know, disobeying Aizawa-sensei and going to the bathroom. What was that all about?"

"I felt sick. Like really sick. But it turned out to be nothing." I said, glancing at Momo. She nodded in understanding, realizing that I had had a Hanahaki attack.

"Really? That's all? Then why did it take so long for Deku to get you?" Kirishima added.

I nearly flinched at the sound of Midoriya's voice but played it off cool.

"He waited for me while I cleaned up. I was still feeling a bit iffy when he showed up and didnt want to leave until I left with him."

"Ok..." Kirishima sighed.
