Xavier's POV.

"She's really nice...... We had so much fun, I wish you were here with us. We played different games even those girly stuffs ugh! I know! It horrible but in all I had fun."

Finally Kyle concluded his blabbing about his new tutor.

"It would have been more fun if you were here, I wish you could stay home more often." Kyle smiles.

I couldn't help but feel bad. I just noticed that I have not been able to spend some time with with my family and I have been too focused on my self. And by family I mean Kyle he's the only real family I have. And of course Nana too.

"I'm really sorry Kyle, I promise I will make it up to you. How about this weekend you and I go to the beach huh?" I smile.

"I'd love that! Thanks bro!" He hugged me.

"Anything for you." I hugged him back.

"Well it's getting late so you better get to bed early so you won't be late for school tomorrow, and don't forget to brush your teeth before you sleep." I instructed faking a serious face.

"Ugh...... Do I have to??" He whined.

"Yes young man unless you want to have a bad breath which would cause you to lose all  your teeth."

"Whatever mom!"

"Silly boy." I chuckled and smile as he goes upstairs.

Grr..... Grr... Grr...

"Hmmm who's calling me now?" I sign.

"Unknown number?? Yeah whatever. It's probably one of those chicks I met at the bar."

Grrr.... Grr.... Gr...

"Yes. Hello, who is this,?"

"Kenneth."

Kenneth? Only one person calls me that.

"Dad-d?" I stutter.

"Hello Ken, it's me. How have you been?"

My whole body tightened at the sound of his voice.

"What do you want??" I grunt.

"I just want to know how you are doing. Why don't you pick my calls son?"

"Son? Son?! I am not you son. You lost the right to call me that when you abandoned your family for work, so I'd advise you stick to your work."

"But I miss you and Kyle. I really want to come home to you boys but work is...."

"Work? Work?! Everything that matters to you is your work. You don't care about me or Kyle, so stop pretending like you do. Cause last time I checked you said and I quote 'my work is my family and my life'. That's what you said to me when I was in my second year of middle school. The day I would never forget. That was the day you chose work over everything so don't you ever think that you have even the slightest right to care about me or Kyle cause to me you're dead as well. Good night." I hung up as tears fall freely from my eyes.

I sit and lean back on the sofa as I let my tears run freely down my cheeks and I feel a warm embrace.

"It's okay, son. Let it all out." Nana hugged me tightly.

"I,... I just wish for once that he will just genuinely care. I just wish he'd come home and spend time with me and Kyle. I just really hate him right now. Ever since Mom..... Ever since we lost Mom is just as if he died along with her. I can't help but feel like an orphan.... I just can't help it..." I broke down.
