Chapter 6

Ayame POV

"Hm.. Atsu, Akashi just texted me." I say from his side.

"Huh? What for?" He asked.

"He asked us to meet him at the entrance." I say reading the text as he bends down to get the bag of chips from the vending machine with my cookies handing them to me to place in my bag.

"Hm, let's go then." He says seeing as we were outside. You see I did managed to become Yosen boys basketball team manager. It's been a year and Kuroo and me have been getting closer but only as friends and he's helped me a lot. I don't think of Aomine as much as I did and now with Himuro he barely crosses my mind anymore.. that being said.. I feel my heart beat fast in my chest and feel hurt..

"Why didn't I expect this?" I mumble pulling my psp out starting the new game Kenma recommended just to avoid looking at Aomine.

"You've got a baby sitter Tetsu?" I hear his voice and a mix of happiness and hurt comes to my heart causing me to look up at Kuroko and one of his teammates following him.

"Mine-chin you've got Sac-chin." Atsu says munching on a chocolate he pulled from my bag.

"Satsuki's got nothing to do with this." Aomine answers but I feel his eyes on me as I try my best to not even glance at him.

"Midorima-cchi, why do you have scissors?" Kise asks with his phone in hand as I go back to my game.

"It's obviously my lucky item, you idiot." Midorima answered.

"It's dangerous though. I wish you wouldn't walk around with them out like that." Kise says.

"Sorry to keep you waiting." Kuroko says as I pass the first level a small smile coming to my lips.

"Hey Kuroko." I say glancing at him and waving once as he gives me a curt nod before noticing the guy behind him.

"Akashi won't like that you brought someone." I say before going to my next level jumping a little when I hear a phone ring out of no where.

"Your phone's annoying Kise. Is it Akashi?" Aomine asks.

"It's a text from a fan girl." I glare at him almost wanting to throw him something.

"Go die!" Midorima says.

"Huh? Mido-chin, let me borrow those scissors." Atsu says.

"No." I chuckle.

"I have one of those pocket knives with scissors in the side pocket of my bag." I say not moving my eyes from the game as I press buttons furiously to pass the level feeling Atsu look in my bag.

"Thank you." He says as he uses the small scissors to open the bag of chips and placing the pocket knife back in my bag as the screen showed me a big 'CONGRATULATIONS!'.

"Why is the guy who summoned us the last to arrive?" Kise says as I put my game away back in the bag seeing as Akashi should be here soon.

"There's no need to be upset, that's how he is." Midorima says as I nod looking behind Kise.

"Speaking of the devil he should be here any second now." I say and just as if calling him Akashi appears.

"I apologize that I've kept you waiting." Akashi says.

"Akashi." I say smiling a bit.. is it weird that I sorta miss him? After he found out Aomine ended things with me we somehow started hanging out a bit playing Shogi with each other.. I never could beat him but the games were pretty close and pretty fun.

"Daiki, Ryota, Shintaro, Atsushi, Tetsuya, and Ayame. I'm glad to see you again. I'm deeply moved we were all able to meet like this. However there's someone here that doesn't belong. I wish to speak only to my former teammates right now. Sorry, but could you leave?" Akashi says as I shrug knowing this was gonna happen.

"Well you're no fun. Don't exclude us." My eyes snapped to the person who dared talk to Akashi like that just to see the same red head who challenged Atsu a while back when my dear electronics were almost ruined if I hadn't brought a rain cape and umbrellas for me and Atsu. Him and Himuro were childhood friends from America.. Akashi will not be happy about this.

"You're Akashi, huh? Glad to meet you." I take a step back to hide behind Atsu taking hold of his jacket peeking from behind him as he ate the chips.

"Shintaro, could I borrow those scissors?" Holly shit he's gonna kill Kagami! I'm sorry Himura but I'm not getting involved in this! I value my life too much!

"What are you going to use them for?" Midorima asks as if he didn't know! He's gonna kill Kagami..

"My hair is annoying me. I've been wanting to trim it." I continue to watch from behind Atsushi as Midorima hands him the scissors.

"First, you're Kagami aren't you?" Akashi says just before he attacked him with the scissors but thankfully Kagami dodged.

"My, my. I'm surprised you were able to dodge that. In light of that display of grace, I'll forgive you this time. However there will be no second chance. When I tell you to leave, leave. In this world winning is everything, winners are affirmed completely and losers are denied completely." Akashi started cutting his hair.

"I've never lost at anything before and never will. Because I always win and I'm always right. I show no mercy to those who oppose me. Not even my own parents." He finished before handing the scissors to Midorima again making me sigh in relief and stop hiding behind Atsu.

"Well I'm leaving. I just wanted to say hello to everyone today." He says walking away.

"Huh? Don't be ridiculous Akashi, you summoned us just for that?" Aomine asks causing Akashi to stop before turning to look at him a small smirk on his lip as he looks at me.

"No, I actually wanted to confirm something, but after seeing your faces I realize there was no need. No one has forgotten our promise, everything's fine. Also.." He turns around and walks towards me as I smile at him a little.

"I really wanted you to come to Rakuzan with me and we could play Shogi again.. but you decided to go to Yosen." He says as he makes it in front of me placing his hand on my chin tilting my head up.. yeah I'm only still a 5'5 now.

"And now we're on opposite teams, such a pity." He says before taking a strand of my hair placing it behind my ear.

"We can still go out Akashi and play Shogi again." I say making a small smirk come to his lips before they connect with my cheek making me blush as he pulls away.

"Next time we meet will be on the court." He says before walking away and I noticed Aomine glaring at his back as he did.

"That idiot." I mumble still blushing before taking Atsu's hand dragging him with me.

"Let's go." I say as he nods eating the last of his chips and threw the bag away with me giving Aomine one last look noticing him looking back at me with sort of a sad expression before I look forward again.. why is he sad?
