Chapter 5: A New Ally

A light, soft wind brushed through the tall, black lion's tufted ears and a tall black and blue walked up next to him. "Feeling better, SwiftClaw?" Atieno looked at the feline and smiles, glad to know his on their side. SwiftClaw nodded and padded into the den in the cliff. A diving screech came from Mema and Luna as they were landing on the base's edge. "Hey Atieno, how was it last night?" The short lioness ran to him and hugged him, happy to see him again after a long night. "It's been great, but where are the others?" Atieno tilted his head in curiosity. "Shouldn't they be with you?" Mema chuckled and informed him that they wanted her to be the scout that's ahead again. Luna purred and puts her head on top of Atieno's. "Oh hey Luna, did you miss me?" He scratched her neck and the Cat-dragon's tail wagged around happily. Suddenly, a small snap of twig was heard by Mema and she unleashed her claws and smelled the scent of an interdur. In a panic, Atieno leapt in front of her to stop her in her tracks. "Atieno, step aside. There's an interdur in there. I can smell 'em." She growled lightly and she knew she couldn't hurt one of her friends, especially not Atieno. Luna picked him up with her teeth and held him as he struggled to get free. "Wait!" He yowled at Mema before she could walk into the den. "You don't understand! You'll kill him!" Atieno gasped and covered his mouth with his paws as Mema turned around. "Him?" She tilted her head, showing a slight increase of adgatation and her teeth showed a little. Luna dropped the lion and leapt by her Master's side, her claws tapping against the rock floor. The lioness ran in and tackled SwiftClaw, panting heavily and growled. "Who are you?!" She growled at him and dug her claws into his pelt and Atieno leapt on Luna's back and pinched her soft, knocking her out so she can't harm his new friend. "Atieno, what are you doing?!" Mema growled as Atieno pinned her off of SwiftClaw and held her down with his front paws. Furiously, Mema's back fur set on fire and kicked Atieno to get him off and growled. "Why do you care about the interdur so much, huh!?" Atieno got up, panting to calm himself down so his fur doesn't set on fire or ice either. "Because.. Amir didn't help him and he was left behind." He lowered his ears, telling her the truth and laid down. Mema gasped sadly and the flames went out and sat down, gazing at SwiftClaw. A small dog landed in the den and folded his wings and they disappeared. "What did I miss and what happened in here?" Dexter padded in and saw a huge scar on Atieno's shoulder, thinking that what there was a little 'argument' between Mema and him again. He looked behind Mema, seeing a little black feline that carried the scent of Amir's Clan. "I'm SwiftClaw, a Former cat of Amir's Clan." He introduced himself to Dexter and Mema, a bit nervous after all of that. "So Dexter, where's Goldie and Zeus?" Atieno asked when he got up and limped over to him. "They're helping a dragon stuck in a mangled tree." The tiny dog chuckled nervously and Atieno sat down next to him. Luna picked up Mema on her back to help Mema relax and calm down after what happened. Zane walked in the den and treated Atieno's scar on her shoulder and gruffly said, "What happened now, you rascal?" Atieno chuckled and got up and looked down at him. "I'm fine, Doctor Worrier. It's just a little scar." As Atieno padded out to greet his leader coming back, the wolf's ears twitched aggatatied that he's too stubborn to listen to a medic. Goldie padded toward the entrance and noticed the feline. "So, who's that?" She didn't seem annoyed, yet a bit glad Atieno made a new ally. However, the cat looked... different. The cat's chuckle slowly transferred into an evil laugh that was familiar. The cat stepped into the moon's light and revealed himself as their enemy, Amir. "Where is SwiftClaw?!" Atieno roared furiously, unsheathing his claws and his tail surrounded itself in ice. Muffled yowls came from behind the brown cat, tightly tied with five pounds of vines. More laughs came from three other cats on top of their base, two of them were recognisable but the other one was unknown. "So, I see you have a new friend, Amir." Mema hissed, swinging her tail around angrily with Luna behind her to defend each other. A mysterious in a black hoodie leapt over the Savannah Survivors and ran up the base and swept the three cats off the mountain with one tail swipe, with Aspen and LittleNose landing on Amir. "Get off of me, Fur-brains!" Mema recognised the scent of the wolf in the hoodie and approached him. When the wolf took off the cloak, a gray and green wolf revealed and he smiled at the lioness. "What? Miss me, Short-stack?" Mema grabbed him and hugged him, a few happy tears fell down her cheeks. "No way! You followed us or something?!" She purred, nuzzling him and smiling. Toxic looked down at the cats down there. "Are they unconscious or-"

"They'll be fine." She chuckled and smiled, leaping down to introduce Atieno, Hunter and Zane to the tall, poisonous Wolf. When Amir looked up, his ears went down with a slight squeak in his voice. "Quick, let's get outta here!" The leader shouted and ran but Luna stopped them in their tracks and pinned them all done. Hunter yanked the vines of SwiftClaw to set him free and tie up Amir and his small Clan. "So, mind catching me up what was happening, Mema?" Toxic looked down at her with a smile to listen to every word she says. Luna carried Amir and the others to the secret den underneath the cliff and put them in different cages to make sure they can't work together get out. "Oh great, that's the last I listen to you SmallNose for a plan." Amir scolded at him while Luna left "This is a worse place to be, in the caverings of the Savannah Survivors." The black and purple cat chuckled, scratching a plan into the walls of his side. Amir looked over at him and studied the brilliance of his plan. "You know, I should've came to you for plans cause that is brilliant, Subwoofer."
