I Stand up and start to walk to my room, but realise I need to find somewhere for this guy to sleep, or stay, since I don't think he sleeps. "Hey, um, ill set you up a room if you want to come?" I ask, "do I have a choice." He replies sarcastically but very quiet, "yeah actually with me you do." I reply 100% serious, he just looks at me shocked for a second but then his face goes back to the same blank stare as before, "its up to you" I state before continuing to head in the direction of my room. I walk past my room to the guest bedroom, I grab a new set of sheets from the closet and start making the bed. Just as I finish I hear a creek behind me, I turn around and see S-N12 standing at the door, I walk Over to him, I notice he tensed up so I stop a good distance away, "so, whats your name? It cant be S-N12", I ask, he looks at me shocked, he looks away and Im pretty sure he smiled for a second, "its what ever you call me..." He talks quiet. I walk closer to him, he looks at me, "well then im calling you your original name.", herolls his eyes, I smile "Im Vanessa", I reassure him, he raises and eyebrow, "okay....im chase" He replies.
I look at the bed and raise my hand to it "um, thats where you will be sleeping and-" before I can finish a gust of wind goes past my face, "huh?...." I look back where Chase is but he's gone, "I haven't laid in a bed in years" I hear chase behind me, he's on the bed messing up the sheets I just made, I laugh a little "glad you like it" I say, as soon as I talk he stiffens up and his smile fades. I act like I didn't notice, "okay so ill just leave you to get settled in, um, the foods in the fridge-", I begin but am interrupted, "I don't need food" Chase states, I palm my head, "oh right... well anyway, since my parents are gone its just me and you so, if you need anything come ask" I say, I Stand there for a couple seconds before I hear Chase let out a chuckle, "what?" I ask, he looks at me with a smile, He has a nice smile, "your acting like your the slave", I don't know how to react so I just do one of those little awkward laughs "sorry?" I reply unsure of what to say. He sits up properly on the bed with his legs crossed, "its fine, its just.... Different", I smile "well I'm different I guess" I laugh a little, he gives me a look as If he's searching for something.
I clear my throat, "well I'm gonna let you settle in and go make food....um, see you later?" I say unsure just before I leave the room. That was so awkward.
I go to the kitchen and look in the cupboard, Nothing... I have no idea what to make... Ugh. I sit at the counter for a minute thinking before standing up again and looking again, as if anything would've magically showed up after a minute. I roll my eyes, "move", I'm pushed aside by Chase, "what are you-", he looks at me "Ive cooked for people before, whats one more time" he says as he starts grabbing ingredients, I try stop him "no, you don't need-", he turns to me "I want to... you obviously cant cook" he says looking me up and down, I cross my arms "I can cook, theres just nothing to cook" I argue, he smirks "mhmm", he turns back and continues to start cooking, "just sit down it will be ready soon" he says waving his hand gesturing me to go away, "ugh" I roll my eyes and slide into the chair at the counter, I sit there with my arms crossed, " I can cook" I mumble under my breath, I hear a soft laugh from Chase, I roll my eyes again.
Im on my phone when a plate is placed in front of me, I sniff "oooh, smells so good, how did you make this, there was nothing in there" I point to the cupboard, he rolls his eyes, "i don't think you looked very hard", I scoff and start eating , "mmmm, freaking good" I say mid mouth-full looking at chase, he nods and shows a soft smile, I blush slightly and look back at the food. He walks over to the sink and starts doing the dishes, I stand up "you really don't-", "its fine" he says without even turning around, I slowly sit down annoyed, "the whole point of me agreeing to 'have' you was so you didn't have to do that" I mumble. I finish my food around the same time he stops doing the dishes. I Stand up and go put my plate in the sink, chase reaches for it and I swat his hand away, "no" I wash up my plate, Chase watches me.
After I wash my dish I turn and look at chase, I look at his clothes and realise he's still wearing the same ones from before, "I have some guys clothes in my cupboard if you want to chose some and change" I ask, he nods. I lead him to my room and show him my cupboard. He finds some clothes he likes, but before he goes to change he looks at me "i have one question" he says, I nod and he continues, "why do you have mens clothes?", I'm taken aback from this as I didn't think he would care, "i- um, no reason" I reply not really wanting to get into it, "mhmm" I look at chase and he's smirking at me, I blush as push him out my door "get changed". He does, he comes back into my room where I'm sitting on my bed, I look at him, "..." I'm gawking, he's wearing all black but he somehow looks so good... what am I thinking! , "what?" He asks, I shake my head "n-nothing, looks good". We both stay awkwardly silent for a minute, "hey-" we talk in unison, "oh you go" I state, "no you can" he insists, "okay, well I just wanted to say I want... to watch a movie...." I reply, Im lame, "oh-" he laughs "-well I was going to say...", Im confused by this, "what?" I ask, "well...don't worry about it..." and with that he leaves my room and I hear his door shut and lock. What the? . I go to the lounge room and put on Netflix, I sit on the couch and put on the show, The 100.
I look over and Chases door is still closed. Its 10:30pm and he's been In there since 8pm... I hope I didn't upset him. I start to dose off with the sound of the tv in the background. I feel myself being laid down and something put under my head and over my body.
