Another random night in the City of Columbia, Spagonia. Neighboring dogs barking, a random radio being tuned, a shot registration comedy being watched, a very big and loud family conversation going off and some random person whistling a random tune while cleaning themselves.

Yep, the sounds of Spagonia is wonderful....Well, more or less. However, there was only one critter that was as silent as a mouse--Sonic the hedgehog.

He was in the middle of Frog Forest outside of the sleepless Spagonian town alone in the middle of the darkened night. He sighed, wondering where his secret crush would be.

"Spectra...." That was all he whispered to himself.

The emerald green eyed blue hedgehog looked up at the night sky and saw nothing but a clear starry sky lit brightly by the full moon. Sitting against a random tree while curled up in one of Spectra's special faux fur blankets--Specifically her purple one--He started to slowly fall asleep.

About an hour into his sleep, something was sensed near him. Jolting up, now wide awake, he looked around the area, carefully examining the scene for anything suspicious or unpleasant.

He sighed, "Nothing. Good. Thought something was out there for a second."

Little did he knew, something was out there....And it was after him directly. A deep low growl was made when it spoke.

"Sonic...." It sounded feminine but monstrous at the same time.

Again, Sonic jolted upwards while looking left and right in the area he was in. "Okay, show yourself!" He demanded.

No response.

"Show yourself, now!" He demanded again. That's when he finally got a response. A dark chuckle was heard from his two flicking ears.

"Are you sure about that, Sonic?" The voice asked.

"Hey! How do you know my name?!" Sonic asked, scared.

The voice chuckled again. "Oh, I know all about you, my blue friend. I know it all." The black figure got closer to him, its markings glowing as white as the snow in Holoska.

Sonic backed up into the tree he was in, locked and froze in fear. "Please....Stay away from me."

"Oh come on, Sonic. I just wanna hug you. You seem a bit....Cold."

"I don't give a damn! Go away!" He quickly grabbed a nearby pebble and threw it at the mysterious creature.

After a few seconds, everything just went silent. Maybe the pebble hit the critter hard. Wait, is it now mad or....?

"Ow...."

Sniffling was heard as Sonic opened his eyes and looked towards where the sadden sound was being produced.

"That hurt my snout....Sonic, what did I ever do to you?" That's when it finally cried. "Dammit! I'm sorry!"

Guilt immediately filled the blue hedgehog's heart as he slowly approached the blackened creature.

Holding out an unlit flashlight, he asked it. "Who are you?"

Looking up at him, its eyes and markings still glowing white with the full moon's light, it managed to answer with a hurt sob.

"It's me. Spectra. Remember? Sarah?"

That's when sorrow and guilt ran through Sonic's body faster than his own two feet.
