Chapter 3.2: Sparks

Here I am again, your slow and lazy ass author... Sorry.

First chapter with about 10k words. I think... Anyway, this chapter I could say is majority about basketball and character development, what I'm trying do at least anyway lol.

Besides, I wanna thank my friend Lucas for helping me with the editing of this chapter and he's planning on joining Wattpad next month. So yeah enjoy!

"Coach, if your players are not out for another minute you'll have to choose someone else and they will get a technical foul." The lead referee warns Cavan as he groans.

"Alright, alright!" He sighs as he runs his hand down his face.


The fans had ran out of patience at this point, some are complaining and some sits still, tapping their fingers or their feet waiting for their team's opponent to get ready.

That's when Y/N, Jonas and the teammate that sent the warnings come into view from the tunnel.

"I'm here coach!" Y/N sprints pass him and brakes as he throws his jersey to one of his teammates sitting on the bench then returns the marker to Joe. "Hey, thanks Joe." Joe nods to him.

"YOOO, YOU GOT THEIR AUTOGRAPHS?!" Sam exclaims in utter shock as he gestures them to zip it with panic. They laugh as they inspect the autographs on his jersey.

"What the hell took you two so long?!" Cavan asks with a stern and impatient tone.


"Sorry coach, this dumbass kept getting caught up with the idols." He explains as he tucks in his jersey.

"So coach, no more suicides?" Y/N walks up to Cavan while tucking in his jersey.


"Yeah, but with your slow ass almost getting a technical foul, you'll be running a hundred suicides after the game."

"What?!" Y/N exclaims in disbelief as he follows Jonas. "Co-coach, come on..." He stretches his hand out at Cavan as he hobbles onto the court.

"Play the game!" Cavan snaps, startling Y/N as he quickly runs to the baseline.

On the other end of the court are the Asteroids' starting five. "Took them long enough." Their power forward, Jay says while the trio glares at Y/N.

"I want to destroy that annoying bitch." Seung-Hyeon says angrily


"We're going to," the four turn to their captain who made a smug face. "Just play more physical, especially with him." He points at Y/N as Nial frowns at his words.

"OK." Seung-Hyeon and Seong-Ho agrees with the idea with a grin while Jay stays out of it and Nial sighs.

Scene Change

"So the conclusion is that Soobin and Y/N protected you girls from the three?" Bang Chan confirms with ITZY as they nod. "And they said they'll settle it on the court?" ITZY nods again.

"Oh damn... Then the game is on. I can't wait!" Hyunjin says with excitement.

"Wished I was there, they would've been scared shitless." Bang Chan jokes.

"Yeah right hyung, I'm thinking the opposite with how little you compared to them." I.N joins in by taking a shot at his leader as the boy group starts throwing insults at each other.

"I think I have different thoughts on him now. You know, he's kind of funny." Yuna says with the usual smile on her face.


"I agree, he seems like someone that is pretty fun to be around." Chaeryeong agrees as the girl group continues the talk about Y/N.


Well... All of them except their leader.

Yeji's been quiet throughout their whole way back to the stance. Wearing a slight frown on her face.

"We'll settle it on the court then." Yeji sighs through her nose with her lips pursed at a side as the words repeat in her head.
