Jessica and Amanda moment.)

Amanda paced back and forth as her emotions got the best of her. She knew she needed to calm down. But she couldn't. The jealousy she felt towards Dr. Lynn was deep. She knew why she felt this way but she didn't know how to stop it and it was causing major problems. Amanda would hurt herself and not even notice.

Jessica noticed the complex look on Amanda's face and new something was wrong but she didn't want to acknowledge it until she truly had too. She knew John was getting impatient with Amanda's behavior and she knew she had to do something soon. So she picked up a glass amd looked at Amanda.

"Amanda. What would happen if I were to hold this for a few minutes" Jessica asked the woman. Said woman stopped pacing and looked at the woman like she was insane

"What?" She asked. Jessica giggled and repeated her question

"What would happen if I were to hold this for a few minutes?" Jessica asked not knowing she caught everyone's attention

"Well, nothing" Amanda said confused as she finally stopped having that complex look.

"Okay, what would happen of i were to hold it for a few hours" Jessica asked Amanda

"Well, your arm would start hurting. Why are you asking these weird questions" Amanda asked

"That's for me to know and for you to find out." Jessica said "now Amanda what would happen if I were to hold this for 24 hours" Jessica asked as she looked Amanda in the eyes

"Well your arm would give out." Amanda said as she looked at Jessica still highly confused

"Okay well notice something, the weight of the glass didn't change at all." Jessica said "the only thing that changed was the length of time I was holding it. This glass represents our challenges. It represents our problems, our worries, our stress and anxiety. It shows the longer we hold onto them the more damage and harm they can cause us. Your peace is more important than driving yourself crazy trying to understand why things happen the way they do. Let it go." Jessica said attentively as she walked up to Amanda. "Sometimes letting things go is an act of greater power than defending or holding on. We don't let it go because we think we can't control it." Jessica said stroking Amanda's cheek. "If a person shows you their true colors. Don't waste your energy trying to repaint them. If a situation isn't serving you or growing you, don't try and control it. Let it go. Stop wasting energy on people who make you feel that you're to hard to love." Jessica explained as she smiled sweetly "One of the best moments in life is the courage to let go of what you cannot change. It's not holding on that's the issue, it's what we're holding onto" Jessica said as she let the glass fall from her hands and shatter onto the floor.

John watched/listened from the sidelines and shook his head. Expect Jessica to be the one to be the more mature one in the whole room. Responsible, forgiving and wise. Something a true apprentice should have. She's a natural born leader and he had high hopes for her. Higher than anyone else he recruited.

"What a lovely way to say, stop being emotional" Amanda said giggling as she looked away blushing. Jessica kissed Amanda on the cheek and nodded

"You got it" Jessica said walking out of the room giggling to herself as Dr. Lynn sits there contemplating her life decisions.
