Special Chapter~Love for Coal

Hi!, So this chapter is different, it's a one-shot actually, just wanted to share it...

Love for Coal~ Coal is Natsu's Doggie. He had a long life maybe until Natsu's 24th Birthday.

Coal's P.O.V.

I'm Coal, the pet of Natsu, before he had a cat named Happy, although I kinda scared him away and he left and can't be found.

It's the 6th birthday of Natsu and Dad dressed me up like a clown. Daddy Igneel gave me my name Coal. He said it would match my actions cause Natsu is the fire and I'm a charcoal, when Natsu gets home it's like he lights me up and I'm like a blazing fire that attacks him with heart warming licks. During cold nights he wraps me around in a warm blanket and hugs me in our sleep.

Anyway let's get to the real thing. Now I'm in the 12th birthday of Natsu. Soon it'll be his school day and we are advance celebrating for his birthday. Months later, he's now in highschool he'll leave before the sun could rise and gets home in a late hour. Once he gets home I get filled with joy. I tackle him with a hug, but now, instead of hugging me back, he'll say bad dog, stupid dog or something that hurts me most get away from me! . Even though you say that to me I still love you no matter what.

For years this kept going. Now that it's summer, it's their vacation day and he's been giving a little more attention to me. They've gone to a vacation and they've been gone for weeks. I miss them. Now they arrived and they look tired, I saw Natsu and attacked him with my hugs. He pushed me away and spanked me on the nose. It hurts to know that your best pal that waited for you till you came back attacked you with a hug then you return it with a hit. I'll accept everything you do to me, I'll love you no matter what.

It hurts that I cried and cried till I fell asleep. One day I wake up feeling limp and dizzy. I cried cause my body hurt so much. Natsu hears my crying and rushed to my side. I realized what was happening, it's my time to go. Natsu carried me to his room and lay me on his bed. He realized what was happening as well.

Tears flowed down his face and he hugged me tighter. I made a sound that means I Love You. It's our special word. "I love you too, buddy" He said. I licked the salty tears on his face. I wanted to say I Love You once again, but my body became really heavy. My head slid down his shoulders. I was still conscious, but I started seeing white. I realized that I wasn't with you anymore, but I can hear you, feel you and all. But I want you to know, all those times you hurt me, they made me love you even more, those hits made me want to warm up that cold heart of yours.

Till the end, I'll never abandon you, I'll keep warming that heart. I just want you to know, that I will always love you and I'll always be loyal to you. I may be gone, but our memories together will never go away.....
