 *James’s POV*

I woke up in a different room and to an empty bed.

“Abigail?!” I yelled. “Abigail!”

I heard a laugh coming from the back of the room, as I turned to see who was laughing, the laugh became louder. I saw a man in a black hoodie, looking down with a smug grin on his face.

“Hello, James.” He put his hoodie down and stared me right in the eyes………. Daniel……

“You’re dead….How can you be here?! Where is Abigail?!” I walked up to him and grabbed him by the neck.

“Oh you don’t want to do that…. now do you?” he smiled at me as he was gasping for air.

“Why wouldn’t I want to kill the guy who kidnapped my fiancé and who owes my family money? Huh?” I felt my blood heat up and my eyes begin to burn.

“Maybe because that guy has control whether or not your fiancé stays alive for the next two minutes.” His eyes drifted to the corner of the room.

I threw him down and ran over to Abigail.

“James! Stop! No Ja-!” the sound of a gunshot fired through the air, and I looked at her stomach. Blood began to pour out and she looked at me. I knelt down to her and held her in my arms.

“Please don’t go, Abigail. Please, please….” I looked into her eyes and there was blood coming out of her mouth with every chocked breath she would take. “Abigail?”

She looked me in the eyes and a tear fell down her cheek. “I-I” she gasped for air, “I l-l-love you.” As she chocked on her blood it splattered on my chest but I didn’t care. I just want to hold her in my arms. “Don’t be sad that I am leaving…”

“But you aren’t going to go!” I yelled and a tear slid down her cheek.

“Get married to someone, be happy, and don’t be sad….”

“I won’t ever be happy with you gone, Abigail!” I protested. She lifted her hand to my face, then she let out a breath and her arm fell down next to her.

“Abigail?” I looked into her motionless eyes, “Abigail!” my heart fell, and I felt everything around me move slowly. “Please no, don’t leave me, Abigail.” I brought her lifeless body to my chest and looked into her eyes once more. I laid her down and closed her once radiant green eyes. I felt my body burn with fury. “Daniel….” I looked to face him as he pointed his gun at me.
