"Carter has been acting kinda weird lately."

"Well isn't she always acting weird? She's the daughter of a psycho stalker and a mentally insane patient."

"I know, but...I dunno...she just looks...so pale. Weaker than usual, and wearing turtlenecks along with a hoodie in a 76 degree classroom."

"What are you saying? That she's a...vampire?"

"Maybe, but I don't believe in shit like that. My theory is that she might have been raped or witnessed something really fucked up."

"Could be, I mean- She's fucking trembling and hunched over."

The petite redheads ears twitched. She was clearly hearing the two people behind her.

"Hey, have you two hear a loud scream last night? I did, and it sounded like it came from the donut shop behind the school."

Carter's eyes shot open.

"I did hear it! Spooky shit."

"Yo, do you think that the scream could be Carters? It sounded high pitched and...girly."

The three boys turned to look at Carter.

"Holy shit! You might be right dude!"

She felt their gazes on her, she really now regretted not leaving when she had the chance.

'Whatever. Just get up and leave.' She thought, leaving her seat and went to "Employees Only" room.

She entered inside and walked towards her father, who was kneading a blob of soft bread dough.

"Dad?" Carter spoke up, tugging on her fathers flour-covered shirt like a child.

Her father stopped kneading and turned to face his daughter, who now had a frown plastered upon her face.

"What is it pumpkin pie?" He asked in a sweet tone.

"There's three boys from my grade who keep on saying things about me." She answered, a hint of malice in her voice.

Her father's brows furrowed and jaw clenched. "What things were they saying about you?"

Carter didn't hesited to reply. "That I was raped, scared and sad, and worst of all...a vampire."

The blue haired man could only stare at his little girl. "Those first two are wrong, but Carter, honey," he assured her, holding both her chubby hands.

"You must not deny your true identity. You got it from your mother after all."

Carter lowered her head. "But vampires are bad. Aren't they?"

Flash pulled her into a hug. "Some are, but you have the choice to be a good vampire or a bad one."

Carter hugged back once he was done talking. "Can I be both?" she asked.

Flash let go of the hug and looked at his baby girl with determination. "Yes. You can be whatever you want," he said in a loving tone. "Now, show those boys whos boss." He smirked.

Carters baby blue eyes sparkled in joy and snickered. "Thank you daddy!"

She opened the door slightly to see if the boys were still there.

They were and her smirk grew, along with her fangs.

"They won't be able to make it to school tomorrow."
