Wang Xian + Xi Cheng

Chapter 1

Wei Wuxian has been drawn to music for most of his life, and he doesn't know what he'd do without it. He grew up learning to play the flute, the piano and now he is singing. During his senior year of high school, he applied to the Juilliard School of Performing Arts. He got in and it has been 3 blissful years since then and currently, he was busy practicing for his next audition before the end of the school year. He has been practicing for roughly about 2 hours. He could feel his voice straining, could feel his eyelids drooping, so he decides to rest for a few minutes. He took out his phone to check Instagram, seeing a post about Lan Wang Ji. He has acted in many of the shows that Wei Wuxian watches in his free time at home, and has come to admire greatly. He read the post, which said that Lan Wangji was shooting a scene for his show in Times Square on April  20th. Wei Wu Xian knew that there was definitely going to be a big crowd of fans, as this man can make anyone swoon for him; even though he is incredibly stoic.

"I wonder if I have time to see him?" he said to himself.

He looked on his calendar on his phone and saw that the 20th was the day of his audition. His heart dropped, he couldn't miss this audition. He has been getting ready since the month started.

"I guess I can't go."

There was a knock on his door, which revealed Jiang Cheng.

"Hey weirdo, want to get lunch outside? What are you looking at?"

"Oh hey loser, I was looking at the post about Lan Wangji."

Wei Wu Xian started walking to the door, he put his arm around Jiang Cheng's shoulders as they walked to the entrance of their school.

"Oh, the boyfriend."

"He's not my boyfriend, can't I just like an actor because he is good at what he does?"

"You like him because he's pretty, so what's up with Lan Wangji?"

"He's shooting a scene in Time Square this Wednesday, and I want to go see him but I have the audition that day."

"Hm, guess you can't go."

Wei Wu Xian sighed as Jiang Cheng led the way to a place called Hop Hop Delight. Apparently, this place is famous because some celebrity eats there often. They entered the store and there were a lot of people standing outside the shop.

"Welcome to Hop Hop Delight, how many people?" The host greeted.

"Hop Hop Delight? What type of name was that?" Wei Wuxian thought to himself

"2 seats please," said Jiang Cheng

"Okay sirs, please take a seat in the booth."

"Thank you," said Jiang Cheng

Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng walked to the booth and sat down as the host was giving them the menu. Jiang Cheng looked at the lunch special, while Wei Wuxian looked at the chef's recommendation. On the menu, he saw that there was an item called Wangji Fried Rice.

"It wouldn't be Lan Wangji right?" he thought

"Excuse me, waiter, what is the Wang Ji Fried Rice?"

"Ah, sir; that is the most recent addition to the menu. An... interesting gentleman came in a couple of weeks ago and decided to go into the kitchen because he didn't like what was given to him. So he decided to make his own food."

"...Why didn't he just leave and go home to eat?"

"I don't know, but after he was done; he let the chefs try it and they liked it a lot. It was so good that the chefs decided to add this fried rice that he made to the menu."
