Annabeth's POV

I slipped my hand into Percy's and squeezed it as we set way for Midtown High School. I struggled to keep my eyes open because I was up until 4 in the morning trying to finish a very interesting book about the Hoover Dam. I fell asleep before I finished but luckily, no drool slipped onto the book because I don't drool... like some people *cough Percy cough*. But then my siblings woke me up at six thirty in the morning for showers so it didn't help. I gave a big yawn, minimizing it as much as possible. Percy smiled and motioned for me to sleep on his lap. I closed my eyes and smiled back, laying my head on his lap as my eyes drooped down from exhaustion.

My eyes snapped open when Percy started shaking me. Basically, I overslept and we were already at Midwood High. Luckily, I wasn't the only one who overslept. Cerise was still sleeping and everyone didn't want to get gutted with a fist-sized gem like Percy. Leo finally offered but he didn't know what was coming his way. I sat up to see the show. Leo walked over to her seat and started shaking her shoulders; wrong move. He was gutted with a ruby the size of two fists. He stumbled back, clutching his stomach. I stifled a laugh and grabbed my sea-green knapsack. I took Percy's hand and he pulled me up. The good news was that Cerise was awake. The bad news was that we had no idea who the students were. We went inside Midwood and walked up the stairs to our dorms. I was paired with Piper, Percy was paired with Jason, Hazel was paired with Nico, Frank was paired with Leo and Selena was paired with Cerise. We went into different dorms and as far as I knew, the dorms on the second floor were for us and the other students, no mortals or anything. I started unpacking, as did Piper, and tried getting used to this place. Besides quests or going home over the school year, I have never gone outside camp borders. I sat on my bed, crossed my legs, and looked around the room. I closed my eyes to get used to the sounds of nature outside but instead, I heard footsteps. My eyes snapped open for the second time this hour and I rushed down the stairs. For some extremely odd reason, so did Cerise. I hung back before she could notice me to see what she was going to do. I peeked from the side of a wall and saw ten students; Cerise ran to a girl with pale skin, dirty blonde hair and silvery grey eyes who was about her age and hugged her tightly. At first, I thought the girl was going to push her away but she gave a laugh and hugged Cerise back.

"It's good to see you again too, Cerise," she said. Wait, what? How the Hades did this girl - who looks strangely like me must I add - know Cerise Taylor, the daughter of Pluto?! I wanted to stomp out and slap the girl hard across the face but then Cerise would question why and I would have to explain that I was eavesdropping.

"It's been too long Luna! All of you!" Cerise cried as she departed from the hug. All of them gave a hearty laugh and Cerise went around hugging everyone.

"We're actually here for a group of demigods; you know, like you," said a girl with light brown hair. I could tell it was a touchy subject; it always was for all of us.

"Ahem, I have come to tell you all something," Cerise said. They looked at her, slightly intrigued in what she had to say to them. "The Magic Sword."

They all stared at her in shock- two boys who look alike (probably twins) gaped- and Luna squealed and gave Cerise a bone-crushing hug. Everyone joined after getting over their initial shock and Cerise gave a big smile.

"Oh Cerise, how's Selena doing?" a boy who looked a lot like Percy asked. I narrowed my eyes at him suspiciously; he looked a little too much like Percy if you asked me.

"She's great, Harry! And," Cerise lowered her voice and the others bent their head lower. "I heard she has a crush on a son of Hephaestus; Leo. But you can't tell her; if you do, then you better run for your life because I'm going to hunt you down."
