"There are friends, there are families, and then there are friends that become family."
-UnknownAfter the smoke session and doing some much needed shopping for a couple of hours, they are finally home. Adanna is adding the new pieces to her ever growing closet collection. It's close to evening, when her stomach rumbles; the Auntie Anne's cinnamon pretzels no longer hiding her growls. She gathers the empty bags and set the bags she didn't get to neatly in her walk-in.
On her way to the trash, she stops by Kofi's room. The door isopen but she still knocks lightly to show respect. He didn't answer but she still didn't give herself permission to go further inside. She quickly observes the room and notice his bathroom light wasn't on but his closet light is.
"Hey, I just finished up and I wanted to know if you were hungry," Adanna made her presence known as she calls from the door frame.
She watches Kofi emerge from his closet and comes to close the distance. His arms cross and his eyebrows nearly meet, showing he's debating. Adanna rests on the door frame as she waits for his response. There was no rush and she is having a debate of her own— home-cooked meal or eat out.
"Is it possible for us to go sit out tonight? It's a restaurant I haven't been to in a while but I was hoping to go back," Kofi tries to be nonchalant about it but Adanna see the way his eyes lit up while speaking about it briefly.
Her lips smash together to stop the smile that wants to form. Happy that he is suggesting something, Adanna nods her head as her hands clasp together. He let her know that the place is a pretty chill vibe and how she could possibly dress. Their conversation after is short since they both want to freshen up. Adanna goes to throw her bags out and wash her dishes from earlier. She could no longer prevent the silly smile from stitching itself to her lips as she passes Kofi's room again.

Kofi and Adanna are walking up to the venue. When Kofi opens the door for her, she thanks him before they proceed to the podium. The host made eye contact with them and holds it with a toothy grin plastered on her face.
"Hi, welcome to Mellow Mushroom! Would you guys like a booth or a table?"
"Booth," they state in simultaneously which causes them all to laugh while Adanna tucks a loc behind her ear.
The host steps from behind the podium and leads them to their booth. When they are seated, they were notified who their waiter would be prior to hoping they enjoyed their time. She scurries back to her position as more guest piles in. Adanna takes in the scenery of the restaurant. It was a trippy theme that could be based on psychedelic mushrooms— hence the name.
"This is nice. I see so many things that I want already ," Adanna compliments then follows with a giggle.
The server comes over and introduces herself. She has the energy of a typical server as she boasts about their happy hour specials. Adanna orders a strawberry lemonade while it's clear Kofi is still debating. Both ladies allow their eyes to meet him.
"And for you handsome?"
Her voice was fruity and honeyed as she speaks to him. A mischievous grin rests on her lips as she plays with her devastating split-ends. The chuckle Adanna slips is met with glunch since their server momentarily allows her eyes to respond to Adanna. Clearing his throat, Kofi feels uncomfortable as he shifts in his chair.
Kofi tells her his drink yet she hasn't walked away. His fingers tap dance on the edge of the table but he avoids the servers gaze as he feels her eyes piercing in his direction. Kofi pulls at his shirt's collar before sweat beads start to form on his forehead; he couldn't tell which way this was going to go. A feeling of fear began to creep into Kofi, he didn't mean to catch the eye of another woman. He wants to speak up but his words wouldn't form.
