Quirk

"Mommy look!" I yell running down the stairs of my house.

"What do you want brat?" She replays harshly. I'm used to it, mommy never really loved me. I just learnt to except it, pretty mature for my age right?
I'm 4 years old and just got my quirk!

I looked into the mirror this morning and saw my teeth were sharp and I had tail! I stared at my hands wondering if I had any abilities when a small blue flame appeared and I looked back up in the mirror surprised. The tip of my tail was a blue flame and I had horn like flames on my head, they disappeared once I stopped using my quirk.

I ran to my mom thinking maybe she'll start to love me now that I have a quirk.
"GET OUT OF HERE YOU DEMON" She gasps scared.
"But mommy... It's my quirk! I'm not a demon! " I cried
Mommy yelled out to daddy and he used his quirk, telekinesis, to pack a backpack and suitcase that reached up to my chest, filled with my clothes.

"DON'T EVEN THINK OF COMING BACK HERE YOU SPAWN OF SATAN!" Daddy yelled as he threw me and my stuff out the door, slamming it.

I look around and grab my stuff, sniffing and wiping my tears. Where will I go now?

My quirk is something extremely rare. I didn't develop it from any of my parents nor family, it just came out of nowhere. It was kinda shocking mom and dad threw me out like that, after all I am a product of a quirk marriage. My dad had telekinesis while my mom had water manipulation. I had 4 other siblings, my oldest sister Shiemi, my older brother Suguro, my twin brother Yukio, and the youngest sibling, my brother Shima. Shiemi was a very kind 8 year old, I wonder how she's doing right now.

Suguro loved picking fights with me but was always there by my side when I needed it, he was 6 at the time and my younger brother Shima was only 1. We were all products of the quirk marriage my parents had. They weren't your typical parents either, they were cruel to each and everyone of us except Shima of course. We had to train until we passed out from exhaustion. I always had the most stamina so I had it hardest even if I didn't have a quirk. My siblings only lasted about 7 hours a day but I lasted 10.

My schedule everyday was wake up at 7:30, eat until 8, train until I passed out which would normally be at around 6pm. Wake up at around 8pm, eat, then head to bed. That was everyday with the exception of Wednesday being my break day. Anyways enough about me, that's the past! Back to the story!

As I started walking I heard my houses door slam so I looked over my shoulder. There running towards me was my twin brother Yukio.

"What are you doing?" I asked in confusion

"Going with you duh. " He replies like it's the most obvious thing in the world. "Someone has to keep you in check. "

I sigh, "Fine but you have to listen to me, I am older than you"

"Yah yah" He rolls his eyes.

We've been walking for about two hours and we're exhausted. We sit down on a bench near some shop and just rest for a bit. After being there for what felt like twenty minutes-actually being an hour- we continued walking.

It wasn't long till a pro came up to us, asking where we're headed with the suitcases we're holding.

"Our parents kicked us out- well they kicked me out but he didn't want me to be alone so he came along. " I explained.

"Well, you guys can stay with me I guess, " He starts, "I've always wanted children but no ones gonna want me" He chuckles.

"My name is Shiro Fujimoto, or the True Cross Hero, Paladin. Nice to meet you. " He smiles.

" My name is Rena Okumora and this is my twin brother Yukio Okumora, he's shy sorry" I tell him while Yukio hides behind me.

"No no that's perfectly fine. Let's head home to get you guys settled in. " He states.

Me and Yukio's hope was restored. We finally had a loving 'father' and a caring home.

It was a bit ruff at first, we met Kuro, Shiro's familiar, and Yukio got his quirk the next day which was similar to mine, blue fire. It didn't work the same way though. When he uses it his eyes glow, and he can cool it down but it stays the same color. Weird but awesome!

As we grew up me and Yukio started going to school, he was the responsible one while I was the reckless one. I would always get into fights, people said I had a villain quirk and was a monster calling me the spawn of satan or a demon. It always ticked me off so I gave them a lesson. I was almost expelled about 5 times in my whole primary school years. I got detention frequently and had been suspended about 7 different times for knocking kids out, those lasted about a week or so.

My brother was determined to become a hero just like our old man but I wasn't sure what I wanted to do yet.

When middle school rolled around I had mastered the skill of cooking. I would always cook for my family and they LOVED it. Yukio knew the basics but could never cook as expertly as me and Shiro refused to cook saying he couldn't live without my food.

When me and Yukio were in the middle of our first year at middle school, nearing the end, Shiro passed away. He was killed in a villain attack when we were at the park by the villain named Satan. Kuro was handed down to me and Yukio, but he gave me a Katana that had my full powers inside. My quirk was too powerful for me when I was younger so he placed most of them in the sword that unleashes my full power when unsheathed. Up until now I wasn't allowed to use it so he kept it locked away but now I think he knows I understand the katana's power and to use it wisely.

It was a bit ruff for us at the beginning dealing with the old man's death, I would get in way more fights and Yukio fell behind on his studies, but we managed. It was that day that made me as determined as Yukio to become a hero just like my old man and bring the so called villain 'Satan' to justice. I'll make the old man proud and show him I can become a hero too!

So that's what me and Yukio are gonna do! Get into UA and become heroes together!
