"Felicity May Parker." I watched with slight envy as my best friend jumped up and hugged everyone around her. She deserved it, honestly, who else could achieve a perfect GPA without even batting an eyelid or skipping out on a mani-pedi.

Now, everyone was on the edge. The final spot. I prayed a silent prayer and the dean grinned.

"Elizabeth Marie Jones." People around me clapped and whistled as I stood up in shock. I got the scholarship? It hadn't hit me yet but the moment I stood up on stage, my hand shaking the dean's hand, Felicity hugging me to no end, everything came as a rush and I grinned.

I opened my envelope, pulling my result slip out and smiled like an absolute idiot when I saw the straight A's that marked the sheet of paper. Felicity looked over and hugged me, gesturing wildly of all the fun we would have at University but I was still revelling from shock and pure happiness.

"I'M GOING TO LONDON!" I screamed my lungs out when I stepped into the house. I heard my brother jump out as he skipped around the house with me and we danced to invisible music.

My mother strolled out of the kitchen, her greasy hands staining the apron as she wiped them, "What are you talking about?" I showed her the letter and she grinned, squealing with excitement.

"Oh my, we have to shop for everything! Your skimpy LA clothes are hardly enough for London!" We squealed together as my brother, Zack, stared at us. I quickly texted Felicity, asking her to meet us at my house and I sat on the couch, not even bothering to change out of my uniform because it was simply a wonderful moment to live in.
